  1. @Sea Dog, I’m so sorry to hear about your fall and broken collarbone. I hope your recovery goes quickly and without much pain. My DH broke his collarbone exactly two weeks before our first cruise on Oasis. He literally snapped the bone in half with one end about to break through his skin and the other end threatening to puncture his lung, the doctor told me. He had surgery to put a plate and screws in to hold it together. With his doctor’s ok, we were able to cruise on Oasis as planned, albeit with a greatly reduced schedule of activities for him. We happened to have been booked in a Boardwalk Balcony on this cruise. His favorite thing to do was to sit on our balcony and watch all of the activity on the Boardwalk. It was exactly the right activity level for him with his injury. DH was certainly not feeling his best, but we still had a very enjoyable cruise. I hope you and Linda do, too. Thanks for sharing your story with us. It could have happened to anyone.
  2. Thank you for doing this review, Renee! This is a true bucket list trip for me which, unfortunately, is not happening for us any time soon. ☹️ For now I’ll have to do it virtually by sailing along with you. I’m excited to be coming along, and if the picture you just posted is any indication it’s going to be a fun ride!
  3. We’re on Odyssey in April, our first time on a Quantum class ship. We’re looking forward to trying both North Star and iFly. We’re driving to FLL the day before we sail so I’m planning to check in as early as possible so we get an early boarding time. I’m not much of a morning person so I don’t usually bother with an early boarding time, but since we’ll have to be out of our hotel anyway and we’ll be close to port I might as well take advantage of the opportunity. I really hate having to wait until we board to be able to book things like North Star, iFly, and shows. All I want to have to think about on boarding day is settling in and having fun. I know I’m dreaming, but I really wish they’d let us go back to prebooking shows and activities. I’m not holding my breath waiting for it to happen, though. 😟
  4. We were on the same Harmony cruise in September in a JS. I requested paper compasses from our stateroom attendant and got them every day except day 1. By the time I caught up with her to ask for them she wasn’t able to get that one, but by the time I asked it didn’t really matter anyway.
  5. I’m here! Following along. 😎 Thank you very much for deciding to go ahead and do this review, and live, no less! Based on your intro video, it sounds like you’re going to Bamboo Beach Club VIP in Falmouth. I’m considering that for our Odyssey cruise in April so I’ll be interested to hear what you and Linda think about it. I’m also interested in your Grand Cayman day. We have spent a fair amount of time on the island on land trips as well as cruises and love it there. I’m always looking for new things to do, but the stingrays are so much fun we may end up doing that again. Big decisions to be made! 😂
  6. All joking aside, Benny, you earned the crystal block. You should keep it. BTW, if your Port Canaveral day is Tuesday on all three legs of your cruise Waldo will not be found, at least not by me. 😟 That’s the one day of the week that I can’t readily adjust my schedule around other commitments and make my way down to port. 🛳 Being Disney fans, Mickey and Minnie magnets were on our door during our recent Harmony cruise. However, every evening while we were out, Mickey and Minnie were also going out and doing a little bit too much partying. 😱. Perhaps they managed to sign themselves up for the all inclusive beverage package. 🤷‍♀️ I don’t know.. I certainly didn’t buy it for them! At first they were upside down. Then they moved around on our door. Finally they couldn’t even find their way back to our room! I found them trying to get into someone else’s cabin! At that point, they were rounded up and thrown into the brig! Their wild partying could no longer be tolerated! They were not allowed out for the rest of our cruise. They do, after all, have a wholesome image they have to protect. It has yet to be determined if they will be allowed to sail with us on our Odyssey cruise in April. The mudslide cookies on Harmony were most definitely delicious! I may have eaten one or two……. 😋🤣😋
  7. I know you already had an inquiry about that crystal block, but if you really don’t want it, DH and I could meet you at Grills in Port Canaveral on one of your stops there and pick it up from you. 😎 I could also then say I’d found Waldo! 😂
  8. I’ll be looking for your Liberty review! Thank you for deciding to do another review. I really enjoy my virtual cruises along with you and Linda.
  9. Thank you for doing this review. I’m enjoying cruising along with you.
  10. Thanks, Andrew. I really miss Labadee. Haven’t been there in a while. Glad Allie was there with you. 🌈💗 Memories like that are really special.
  11. Thanks, Benny! I’m finally caught up. Just in time for Oasis. I’ll be looking for you. 🛳🏝
  12. Thanks @rudeney! Loved the sailboat! ⛵️ The donuts 🍩 looked yummy!
  13. We had a booking that qualified for the double double promo on our Allure cruise last month. I was expecting problems and had the paper trail ready in case I needed it. Fortunately our points came through including the promo points so I didn’t need the documentation, but I was glad I had it anyway. I really wish we could have booked a few more cruises under that promo. 😔 Hope anyone who’s entitled to those promo points gets them without having to chase them down..
  14. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 I did wonder about that comment! We hadn’t even started dinner yet! When we’re watching from Fishlips we are both waving and eating like fools, especially when someone we know is on board the ship. There is a reason I never use auto dictate. While I make a lot of typos on my own, and autocorrect frequently changes what I actually meant to type, doing my own typing is still way more accurate than auto dictate for me. Most of the time when I edit a post it is to correct what autocorrect corrected but was what I really did mean to say. The others are when my 16 pound lapcat thinks he’s in charge of typing. 😻😇 Glad you’re enjoying the wave. I can’t believe it’s been three years for you! Hope the wipeout wasn’t too bad and any bruises heal quickly. 🏄‍♂️
  15. No pressure, but know that I’m certainly keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 Live or post cruise, whatever you prefer. I promise I’ll be there!
  16. DH and I wished we were watching your sailaway today from Fishlips instead of the webcam but a Fishlips run just wasn’t in the cards for us today. We did wave at the webcam on our computer screen earlier. 👋👋 Did you see us? 😂 I followed instructions and Googled Vitus Bering. Interesting guy. I’m loving your pictures! Keep them coming! Hope the wave is open for you tomorrow. 🏄‍♂️
  17. Thanks for doing this live review. I grew up in CT and lived there until we moved to FL 18 years ago. I did a lot of travel around New England when I lived there so I really don’t feel much need to go back there now, but it is nice to see some of my old stomping grounds once in a while. I’ll enjoy following along with you on your cruise. 🛳
  18. @Sea Dog THANK YOU 🙏 for a fabulous review! I’m afraid I’ve been a bit distracted this week, trying to keep up with friends who were far more affected by Ian than our own little corner of Florida has been. Coming here when I’ve been able has truly been the highlight of the past week for me. Your pictures and the stories you shared were just what I needed. 🙏🙏🙏
  19. I’m glad you decided to do this live review! Can’t wait to sail along with you. Be sure to wave at the Port Canaveral webcam as you sail past Fishlips. We’ll be watching the webcam and waving 👋 back. I keep saying I want to book a cruise on Mariner. I have no idea why I haven’t managed to do that yet. Maybe I’ll get motivated now. 🛳
  20. I love the mooring shot! Thank you 🙏! I would have been in big trouble if I’d seen that cat! He looks so much like our rescue boy Oreo that I would have been doing my very best to smuggle him onto the ship so I could bring him home. I have an iPhone 13 Max that I got for the camera. Problem is, I’m still trying to learn how to use the camera, and how to position my hands when holding it so I’m not accidentally touching things and changing settings that I never meant to do and then try to figure out how to get back to the settings I originally meant to use. It’s going to take a lot of practice, lots of baby steps, but slowly I’m starting to learn. Here’s Oreo. He’s much better fed now than he was when we first rescued him two years ago. He’s still a little rough around the edges, but he’s the sweetest little boy we could ever want.
