  1. How was the parking lot when you arrived at port? When we last cruised from PCN in December we got there about 11:30 and the garage was packed! We did manage to snag a parking space but it was up on the top level. I’m hoping the fact that they have moved some of the ships to another terminal has helped with the parking lot congestion. Thanks for the show schedule. It will be different for our cruise because we’re doing Eastern Caribbean with our first two days being sea days, but at least it gives me a general idea as to how the show schedule is running. I hope you and your family have a great cruise. Thank you for taking us along.
  2. All I could think of when I heard the term Kraken was the roller coaster by that name at Sea World in Orlando! 😱 Actually, I did think of the giant squid that I occasionally hear referred to as Kraken too. I loved the Orca statue riding in the little blue wagon! 😂🤣😂 It seems to me like there a lot of fun and interesting things to see and do in Seattle. Getting there is definitely on my bucket list of US cities I’d like to visit some day. The problem is that I have a number of different bucket lists and none of them are short lists. I’m checking things off one at a time but it’s going to take a long time for me to get to all of them. They’re my motivation to maintain my health and fitness as much as I can for as long as I can.
  3. Here’s a link to her website. Hope it’s ok to post it here. https://www.travelwithmitsugirly.com Looks like she’s on a land trip to Mexico right now. Since cruising shut down she has been doing land trips, no cruises yet that I know of. When she does cruise it’s mainly been on NCL and Carnival. She’s only done a couple of Royal Caribbean cruises.
  4. It was when we sailed on Indy this past December..😀
  5. I always enjoy your reviews, so I’ll definitely be following along. Congratulations on your wedding! That’s a beautiful picture!
  6. Thanks for another great review! I’m still looking forward to your adventures in Rome. While I’m hoping that someone gets the message and turns the volume down just a bit so we can enjoy the show and the cabin, I’m adding a couple of pairs of ear plugs just in case. Hopefully we won’t need them if we do but they won’t take up much space in the suitcase. I loved everything you did in the ports. Glad the catamaran excursion worked out well for your group. I’m making a reminder to myself to thoroughly read, then read again the descriptions of any private excursions before I book them. I think I would react exactly as you did if I found out that an excursion I’d booked thinking it was private I wouldn’t have been very happy either. Definitely mad at myself and embarrassed for letting that happen.
  7. OKW resort renovations look good. We haven’t been there in quite a while since we only live 45 minutes away so it’s nice to get a peek at the latest updates. We were typo supposed to be at Magic Kingdom but cancelled due to DH getting Covid during a visit to Animal Kingdom 2.5 weeks ago. He had a mild case and is OK now. I’m not sure how I managed to avoid Covid, but two friends of ours caught it from DH over dinner two nights after our day in the park and a day before DH had any symptoms at all. Fortunately our cruise on Harmony isn’t for another 31 days, so we’ll be avoiding the parks until after we cruise. Parks are way more crowded now than they’ve been since reopening, more like pre pandemic levels and none of the people you’re likely to encounter will care at all that you’re heading for a Harmony cruise when you leave Disney. I, on the other hand, selfishly want to to be sure you get to go on Harmony! I’m very much looking forward to your trip report since I have enjoyed your past ones a lot and haven’t seen any recent Harmony reviews. Selfish reasons aside, I really hope that you and your family are able to enjoy your time at Disney and are able to board Harmony as scheduled. I know it’s possible because we have been in the parks on a regular basis since they reopened and have never had a problem until now. I’d love to see the Harmony show schedule from your cruise. I’d also love your opinion as to my decision to go with Traditional Late dining as opposed to My Time. We’ve done Traditional Late dining on all of our pre pandemic cruises but switched to My Time on the two cruises we’ve done since the restart.
  8. That snorkeling excursion was unacceptable. I see that you’ve already brought up the problems you had to the excursion desk. I’d also include it on your post cruise survey. I’m sorry that you had to deal with such a poorly run excursion, and on your anniversary, no less! I loved your champagne and cake from the casino! Hope the rest of your anniversary day was magical! 🥂🎉
  9. Congratulations on your anniversary! The wedding picture is beautiful. Thanks for sharing it. Sorry the turtles were hiding on you in Curaçao. We got lucky when we were there and had plenty of them to swim with. I loved it! 🐢😃 We may have been at a different location than you were at though.
  10. Loved the pics from Santorini. With the lines for the cable car being as long as it was, you might have had plenty of time to have dinner and still catch the end of the long line waiting to get back to the ship! 😱. No, we wouldn’t have done that either! Smart move making sure you got back on time. 😀🛳
  11. @RCCL Fan, thank you for the great video of our cabin this coming April! I’m really looking forward to sailing in it! I’ll be following along to see how the rest of your journey goes. We sail on Harmony in September so I’m not very focused on Odyssey yet, but I’m wondering about how we will feel about how she compares to the Oasis class ships we love so much. I do know that I’ll love that balcony being aft facing with no superstructure but where are the lounger(s) and regular height tables that I’m used to having on my JS balconies? I’m sure I’ll enjoy spending a lot of time out there regardless of the furniture.
  12. Thanks for the info. It’s too soon for us to have our cruise docs for our September yet. Also wondering if we can prepay grants for our April cruise. I’ll be following to see how it goes.
  13. Wow! That was quite the situation with the gangways all crashing! Glad they were able to get everything all sorted out! I loved your shark pic from Coco Cay! I was hoping to see one the last couple of times we were there. Unfortunately for me, the sharks had other ideas. I’ll try again in September! 🦈 When you get to WDW be sure you stay hydrated and take breaks from the parks to go rest in air conditioning or perhaps hit the pool to cool off. We live in central Florida and have Disney AP’s, so we’re in Animal Kingdom on Thursday. We planned our day to spend a lot of our time indoors in air conditioned attractions timed our dinner break to get us out of the heat in the middle of our planned time in the park. Our strategy served us well as we were able to enjoy our day with no ill effects. Oh, don’t forget the sunscreen and breathable clothing!
  14. Our first cruise was on Disney Dream out of Port Canaveral in 2011. It was a three day cruise because we weren’t sure if we would like cruising. We thought we might be bored! 🤣🤪 Needless to say we were far from bored and fell in love with cruising and have been cruising whenever we can ever since. 🛳
  15. Another vote for more suite pictures please! Looking forward to following along with you on Indy. We were on her in December and had a great cruise. Hope you do, too!
  16. Yes, you definitely can get a soda in a regular glass at any bar or at dinner with your soda package. You just won’t have the wide variety of soft drinks to select from that you would if you take your cup to the freestyle machine.
  17. We love the whole show and the talented singers, dancers and actors who perform it. Didn’t like when they shortened it.
  18. Thanks for the info. We’re going fairly new diamonds, so this is all new to us. I knew about using one free day, then using the discount on the second day, but not that it could be cheaper buying online before our cruise. We did use our two free days on a three day cruise on Indy last year which worked out great, but that wouldn’t be the case on a longer sailing. I already have a great price on our upcoming Harmony cruise purchased last year on Black Friday. I was wondering if I should cancel that to use the Diamond discount. Not going to do that now. I was already planning to shop this year’s Black Friday sale so I’ll do that and do a price comparison before I buy. We can always use our free days on a second device.
  19. Thank you very much for this wonderful review and pictures! I’ve loved traveling virtually along with you. Hope you heal from your remaining injuries, and that your trip insurance comes through and covers your trip delay related expenses. I appreciate your taking the time to share your vacation with us.
  20. Thanks for a great review of the first leg of your B2B, @luckybecky! I’m really enjoying following along with you. You’ve already had a lot of adventures along with a few misadventures and you still have another leg to go. I hope your injuries from your fall were truly minor and that you were fully able to enjoy the second one. I am disappointed that medical wasn’t very helpful when you stopped by there. We’ve been fortunate enough to have had very little experience with medical on our cruises, but the little experience we’ve had has been totally opposite of yours. Anyway, I’ll keep following along to find out how the rest of your trip went.
