  1. Good Morning Belle - Thanks for starting the post. I am not going to weigh for a little while, but I need to keep coming in and reading and writing posts. We had a great time with DH's brother and sister-in-law .... It included way too much food ... I believe that we went out for every meal - I did find food that I could share - had some lovely seafood in Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor - Was beautiful to be on the coast and see the ocean with all the rocks and waves. Before we went on our trip I went for my annual mammogram and it came back with some problems ... I ended up having biopsies done yesterday (think there were 7) --- now just waiting for results ... which should be on Monday. Just keeping my fingers crossed. I have beautiful flowers in bloom - lilac's almost gone, poppies are amazing, fuchsia rhododendron early yellow azaleas and iris look lovely. I did plant some annuals and we have some vegetables growing in the back yard. Love this time of year. Hope everyone has a wonderful week. Jan
  2. Good Morning Everyone - I have been reading all the posts and it is so nice to see everyone talking. I am currently in Southwest Harbor, Maine - (the quiet side of the island) other side is Bar Harbor. We are here with DH's brother and sister-in-law - they live in Iowa so it is great for all of us to get together every few years. We have a timeshare on the island, so it makes it easy and we have beautiful views - love Maine! I will try to check in later, but, don't think that this will be a week for a loss!!!! Jan
  3. Belle - Darn - that is too bad that our cruises aren't in the same ports .... perhaps next time!!! Jan

  5. Izena hope you had a nice Mother's Day celebration. Nice that you get to wear a size small!!!! I finally weighed myself today - I stayed the same - I will take it ... we've been playing cribbage and have been snacking so I am slightly surprised. Belle - I'm going to post (later) our itinerary of our Alaska cruise ports - would be great if one matched!! After 19 years of talking it would be nice to have a conversation face to face!!! Jan
  6. Thanks for the poem Belle!!! I didn't weigh myself this morning, perhaps I will tomorrow. Hope everyone had a good week. Jan
  7. Belle - I am doing a b2b to Alaska in August - Perhaps we might be a port at the same time! I would love to do 6 b2b's ... how exciting! Do you have the same cabin for all 6 times? How very exciting!!! Hopefully you will have wifi so that you can post. Jan
  8. Belle, I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope you get better soon. Jan
  9. Belle when is your Alaska cruise? Hope you have family time this year for Mother's Day! Jan
  10. Good Morning all - Thanks Belle for starting the thread and for the poem. We are having a BBQ (sort of) for mother's day - everyone is bring food and DH will do some cooking on the grill - I have asked for cupcakes for dessert as I can eat only one and not have leftovers. I do have to go out and get some cards for a few of the mom's. I weighed myself this morning and I am down 1.6# - which means I am where I was at the beginning of the year - at least I got April's cruise weight off --- Now to get serious (hopefully, maybe, sigh). Jo isn't it nice when meals last more than once. We find that we are not eating as much, so have leftovers a lot. The only problem is the cost of food ... It is crazy! Hope everyone has a good week and a nice Mother's Day! Jan
  11. Jo - It was beautiful yesterday here - today it is rainy - perhaps I will do some cleaning today! (Or perhaps just sit in front of the computer!). Your dinner on Sunday sounded really good. Jan
  12. Belle, sorry didn't start off today saying anything about losing weight - I did meet with my trainer though, so that is a start. I need to start counting calories - that works the best, I find. Jan
