  1. Funny to read this statement.. reminds me when we sailed out of Sydney to New Zealand. We were stopped in Auckland and that night went to chef’s table where we met a very nice couple. I asked where they were from and they said Auckland. 😳 I asked what did you do all day being from the area, he replied that they were able to go home mow the lawn and do laundry! Then I asked why would you fly to Sydney to sail to Auckland? Response, we love to cruise. I understood. Cheers!
  2. Thanks for posting, we are in St Thomas twice this winter and it looks like Oasis one port day and Wonder the other! 🙀. Crown Bay will be crowded!! Ship day both days! Cheers!
  3. This is great information, we are sailing 3 ships B2B this winter. We become Elite + after the first B2B. We bought the dining package for the last two ships where we will be Elite +. Guess I just go to guest services and ask for the discount to be applied and have it become OBC. Fingers crossed! 🤞🏻 Cheers!
  4. Signing on and looking forward to the morning read with coffee. Will be boarding Beyond in February for a B2B. Thanks for another live! Cheers!
  5. Luigi is the CD! We had him on Apex last winter and he was a riot! Very funny on his morning show and when he hosted anything. After Deal or no Deal he did guess the movie/show title. It was hilarious!! Hope he is still on February when we sail. Cheers!
  6. We played there most port days, but we did play a couple of times during sailing. Played most of our cards at the Sunset Bar. Either place we had wind but found these outstanding cards that don’t blow around. I could have sold dozens of sets with as many people that stopped and asked how our cards didn’t blow around. Cheers!
  7. Following along, two different perspectives of the ship. We board in February for a B2B so your views and thoughts will be appreciated. By the way we love the Magic Carpet to play cards and just relax. Only observation ( as everywhere on the ship) getting up out of the seats is a challenge! 😂. Not sure what they were thinking with the seating… 🤔 Cheers!
  8. Game is on this Sunday at 1 PM, playing our E A G L E S! 🦅 Cheers!
  9. Thanks for posting! We will be sailing on Beyond B2B this February, part of our 47 day 3 ship winter get away. Two S class ships and this E class. Have sailed Edged and Apex and enjoyed the Sky Suite but with 47 days at sea no way cost wise for suites! Will be interested to hear of the service and specialty dining. The TA has been a bit of a challenge from reading the post. Our TA will be on the three night sailing before you board so I sent questions for her to ask, but hearing the experience from someone on board will be better! Safe sails and have a great time! Cheers!
  10. We actually went through the edge of a hurricane in the South Pacific on Explorer! Talk about rocking and rolling! 😂😂 🌪
  11. Enjoy your next leg, we have friends joining you in the Retreat. They are in a sky suite. They will stay on after this next leg and do the transatlantic to NY. We will join Beyond this winter for 14 days, part of our 47 day winter cruising. Continuing to follow! Cheers!
  12. Love the luggage! So much and yet so good. We have to fly first class now because of luggage weight! All good and I never want for anything wile cruising…… so here no complaints! Cheers!
  13. We sailed on Reflection this past winter for 14 days and will sail again on her this winter for 14 days. This is part of our 47 days 3 ship winter trip. In those three ships we will also sail on Equinox and Beyond. I say that because we have sailed the new ships, Edge and Apex. Reflection is in great shape! She is a S class ship and shows no wear. If you have sailed S class then you will have a great experience. Last winter we sailed on Silhouette which had an upgrade and I saw no difference in Reflection Vs Silhouette. We dine in the specialty restaurants and all were very good. Service, condition and offerings. I would not hesitate ( as we have not for this winter) to board the Reflection. There is a live from Reflection being posted now. They leave this coming week so you may want t post your question there. Sail Reflection, enjoy the ports! Cheers!
  14. Thanks for posting the live report, will follow along each morning with coffee. Congratulations on the retirement and thank you for your service! Retirement is fantastic as we did it 5 years ago and have traveled most of the time, than that “C” word showed up but we are back at it. We spent 14 days on Reflection last winter and enjoyed being back on her. Great captain and crew! We join her again this winter as part of our 3 ship 47 day Caribbean tour! If you are a foodie and your DW loves pizza you need to go to Bonci Pizzarium just outside Vatican City. You can catch the story behind it on Netflix Chefs Table. Our friends, wife is a executive chef, ate there this week and was blown away! Cheers!
  15. Retirement is the best and welcome to a new life! The year I retired ( 5 years ago) We spent 3 months in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific! Cruised New Zealand and the South Pacific, land traveled Australia. Then Covid hit, put a damper on travel, but last winter spent 49 straight days on cruise ships. It was a winter condo. Doing it again this coming winter. As said, a week will no longer be enough now that you have TIME! Embrace your retirement! Cheers!
  16. Ken You say that if you test positive you can stay onboard. How does that work? Quarantine, mask wearing? We are 3 B2B cruises this winter, 47 days in a row. Last year we did 49 and tested every week and was lucky we past. You know how it was last winter if positive. Just trying to understand how it may work this coming winter. Cheers!
  17. I so hope they drop the B2B testing by this winter. We did 49 days on three ships last winter and tested every week! The stress of hoping everything works out is enough. We actually made it through all three ships and was successful but out travel friends tested positive on the last two weeks. We will be doing it again this winter so fingers crossed this goes away. Following Jim and Ken so will be interested what happens. Jim you don’t need another positive! Cheers!
  18. Thanks for posting! First cruise and on an E class ship, you will be spoiled! Have cruised on Edge and Apex. Great ships. The Infinity cabins are great, we had one on the Apex and thought after what I had read that I may of made a mistake but LOVED the cabin! The sitting area on the enclosed “balcony” gave us more room. We never put the window down. We will be sailing Beyond this winter for two weeks so looking forward to your thoughts. Cheers!
  19. Not sure if it’s just my IPad but pics are not showing up. Just a blank space where the pic is supposed to be. 😩 Cheers!
  20. Thanks for posting, will be following in the morning with coffee in hand. we will be on Equinox January 30th for a B2B. Cheers! Hendricks ( Gin Martini )
  21. We sailed Symphony in May, we were in a suite and suite guest were able to board when they wanted. We did select a time but just showed up and was welcomed. We are Diamond Plus but because we were in a suite it did not apply. Not sure how they are handling the tier status. Cheers!
