  1. From our previous experience WWRY was closer to the end, or at least closer to mid cruise. Gift was in the beginning, as well as SC.
  2. We do not buy refresh package, but we tell bartender which drinks to use as Diamond drinks. Of course they should be the most expensive.
  3. Offensive?! You are constantly misreading posts in some reason. You wrote "Just as an aside, I've never understood wanting to get off the ship ASAP, " I explained why people could want to disembark fast.
  4. I'll explain. We are now sailing 5 full cruises a year. Our retirement will not happen in about 15-17 years, so we are trying to maximize our vacations. I don't use cruise days as workdays anymore (I have enough now), but we do not take disembarkation days as vacation days. I work. Often while we driving home or from home if we get there fast enough. If it is a weekend I still like to get ASAP as it is not a quality time anyway. So we selfdebarkate.
  5. Which photos? Do you compare Grills or overall. We are D+ with RCI and sailed once with Cunard on QM2 in Britannia. I enjoyed ambiance a lot. As for some other things I would not call Cunard luxury line.
  6. We sailed on Enchantment at full capacity and it was not crowded. Including buffet and theater. Not more crowded than Grandeur anyway. Enchantment has Boleros. Latin music venue we enjoyed.
  7. I know very well what Yugo was… being originally from USSR I know much worse cars that Yugo. I enjoyed QM2 Independence Day cruise, loved loved QM2 experience. I wouldn’t call it BMW though. It was definitely interesting and unusual. Nice crowd, history on the walls, Planetarium! Great music in various lounges. However QM2 is not a luxury ship. We thought food was pretty much on mass market level. In fact it was weaker than let’s say food on Celebrity. Really nothing to write home about. We had Britannia accommodations. I’m sure Queens and Princess Grills are luxury. We sail about 5 times a year with Royal now. All classes of ships. This year it was Anthem, Enchantment, Oasis, Adventure, Anthem in this order. We enjoy all of them. We were worried that previously we enjoyed Grandeur twice only because it was long Christmas/New Year holiday cruises …. but our 12 day cruise in March was very nice. Very nice crowd. We loved all music in various lounges (Centrum, Schooner, Boleros etc) as well as theater entertainment. We also enjoyed all paintings on the walls in centrum.
  8. Interesting. We were unsuccessful so decided that that was it. I guess they found loophole and closing it.
  9. Well, as we were refused twice last year, we did not try anymore. We sailed 3 times last year and 5 this.
  10. By the way … to people who say they were always drinking on day #8 of 7 days cruises …. For how many years? As prepandemic there was Happy Hour and all drinks + 3 vouchers only were available during those 3.5 hours a day?
  11. I was wrong. Not 2918, 2019, but in 2021 of course
  12. I think if they removed tables (sales) from Royal Esplanade Q class would be even better. With all my admiration for Q class Royal Esplanade is very congested at times. They do sometimes and it’s great.
  13. We can both play this game 🙂 . How did you calculate that I was wrong. Where was it declared that they were supposed to provide drinks for calendar days? Please show me this document? WiFi counts per day(night) . Drink package counts per day (night). Meals count per day(night) - you get exactly 7 days of breakfast/lunches/dinners on 7 nights/8 days cruise. And so on. Please show me some evidence that I’m wrong? By the way, I now remember several occasions when we tried to order drinks as Diamonds after midnight on last cruise night in 2018 and 2019 and were told that we could not.
  14. I LIVE in Solarium on Anthem. We enjoy Boleros Dining rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. two70 with Spectra’s Cabaret show. Soon we will sail on her for the 9th time. We didn’t like he the very first time, but crowd management is way better now. This is a video from our last cruise on her
  15. As always some ships are designed only for warm places … until they deployed elsewhere.
  16. Considering that day used to change at 12 am.. bars were still open I guess. We never used it.
  17. We just returned from our #55. I’m well aware of how days count. But last day is still #8 on 7 night cruises. And Royal didn’t cut anything from 7 x 5 drinks. Folks were getting more drinks than their were supposed to after midnight on 7th night Additional
  18. OK. Just watched video. You convinced me. Hopefully kids won’t occupy Solarium on Thanksgiving when we cruise. This year we had 1400 kids on board.
  19. Voom is working a bit differently I think. You embark later on Day #1 than you disembark on day #8. So it’s 7 times of 24 hours use.
  20. Day 1 is embarkation around 10:30 (night #1) Day 2 (night #2) Day 3 (night #3) Day 4 (night #4) Day 5 (night #5) Day 6 (night #6) Day 7 (night #7) Day 8 disembarkation from 7-7:30 AM This is how 7 days cruise looks like. So all services should be provided for 7 days. Breakfast on Day 8 is a breakfast missing from Day 1 as embarkation happens right before lunch time. Diamonds, D+ and Pinnacles receive 4, 5 , 6 drinks daily for 7 days. I didn’t even know it was available on Day 8.
  21. I see some https://book.cruisequick.com/swift/cruise?siid=1&searchcruise=1&lang=1&departureports=FLL&startdate=06%2F01%2F2024&enddate=06%2F30%2F2024&destinationtype=All 7 Nights | Caribbean | Royal Caribbean | Icon of the Seas 7 Night Eastern Caribbean & Perfect Day 7 Nights | Caribbean Western | Royal Caribbean | Icon of the Seas 7 Night Western Caribbean & Perfect Day
  22. I sailed on her from NJ. It was popular because there was no choice. Still not sure why not continue to sail nicer, better equipped ship? What is an advantage of Odyssey.
  23. I do not think you will get 4 for debarkation day.
  24. There will be another Voyager or Freedom class ship for summers. Just like Adventure is doing now. We were talking about cold season. During cold season Explorer won't work like Anthem does at all. Solarium is a destination itself. Who wants to wait several days till it is comfortable to swim? I cannot wait till our January cruise to Southern Caribbeans even though we just sailed on her for Thanksgiving
  25. I know have enough time for my 5 cruises a year, but I used to work every year for 1-5 days total during cruises. Most of the time it was on Anthem and internet was ALWAYS perfect. Both surf and surf & stream. Not sure what happened during the last 2 years... Quality is down even though prices are up.
