Since March we haven't seen any visible measures on-board. Of course now you don't need to have a test for most of shorter (less than 9 days) cruises, and if one need a test it is just a photo of hometest

NCL is a line we sail for good itineraries. (sailed 9 times) People complain about some issues, but we are willing overlook them for itinerary, good entertainment and vibe on board. In some reason we did not enjoy experience in similar to Joy class ship Breakaway (it does not have some things Joy has. Like speed cars etc) What REALLY I did not like on this type of ship was design. Especially pool deck. At all. Too many people... Also if Oasis has some sort of Solarium with a roof, NCL ships do not have it. As we are sailing from Northeast this is a big deal for us.

30 minutes is too little. I swim for longer. At least and hour.

I am about to embark on cruise #55 with 8 lines. And 4 A/I vacations and yet to see system working properly about chairhogging. I would not expect it to work. It is very difficult to enforce, and crew is not very comfortable bothering guests, removing their stuff. Recently we were in Jacuzzi in Solarium on Adventure for some time (after a long walk in Boston). When we returned to our chairs near window we found another passenger occupying it. She calculated we were absent for too long and it was a time to enforce laws. 🤣 There were many empty loungers maybe in the next row, but she needed one of our 3 chairs. She wanted to be by the window. We had towels clothing, tablets, phones etc on all three... so it was pretty obvious we are in the area, yet ....

I'd think it is Curaçao or maybe Bonaire. Dutch islands.

There is no physical health check. You do it when you checking on line. It used to be 10+ questions 1 day prior sailing, now it is 3 questions 45 days prior up to boarding.

YouTube works, streaming not so much. Connections could be not great with either during some periods of time.

Royal changed rules. You can use your 4 drinks as D and 5 as D+ all day long, but not unlimited during happy hours. Diamond Lounge still provides hors d'oeuvres for 3.5 hours in afternoon.

It is not free, but it is free for me on my cruises since we became Diamonds and even more at Diamond+ JFYI we cruised a lot with 7 other companies too. Check my signature. We never concentrated on RCI till recently just to get to Diamond level, but none other mass market line offers the same level of benefits as RCI even if you spend thousands with them. I could continue to sail with them and did not get this.

I am sure there are bad places, but during last year we multiple times, many of my friends, relatives, people I know from Europe visited NYC and never felt unsafe.

True... but NCL ships lack inside pools. 3 sea days won't be comfortable too.

On Vision class we specifically book interiors on 7th and 8th deck. Mostly 7th. But not sure this would be a problem for us. As long as there is a music in Boleros we do not sleep!

Food in all 4 (MTD and Traditional) DR are the same. We usually use MTD and prebook Times. In this case they still try to put you on the same table if is possible. We usually ask to switch between too. Also we are not big pizza eaters, and won't skip MDR for that, but Sorrento's offer pretty good choices.

Same for us. Actually this time around even test printout wasn't really inspected.

Enchantment is better than Grandeur. It has Boleros! We loved it a lot in March 2022

We parked there numerous times including 2 times this year. But on Sept 1st garage was not available. We parked not far from Garage. Bus took us from/to there

I would not demand to wear mask, but would let them to make own decision. I already got COVID19 twice on cruises this year (and I usually have one cold/flu in 2-3 years!!!) , but for me it is easy as I do not have to work on cruise or can work from home on return.

For Saint John if you still can book it and don't want to rent a car I recommend to book either Fundy Park with St Martins or Hopewell Rock Park Both are STUNNING places.

I am from Boston area, but I rare cruise out of Boston. Just recently we sailed on Adventure from NJ to Canada and visited Boston 🙂 . I really recommend to spend as many sailaways in Crown Viking Lounge. It is very beautiful This video has sailaway from Boston from CVL

Just used it a week ago. We are not big pizza eaters, but liked pizza there on several occasions and some other snacks.

Question is more ... are you looking for something similar/identical or something very different to be impressed? We are active 50/51 and love both lines. We like each class of RCI for its own pros (and they have cons too). Where do you want to sail? What is important to you? Will this be colder climate and you want to use Solarium? Is Solarium important to you? On Celebrity we sailed on ships of all classes - Century, Mercury, Summit, Silhouette, Edge. Edge is the closest overall to RCI ships as a combination IMHO.

I actually had problem with my 12 pro (not with my iPad thought). For the first time on Adventure. I would connect to WiFi, at the same time screen to connect (login) would appear, but WiFi would go away. Only worked for me, when when this happened I would leave login window open and try to connect to WiFi again.

In St Lucia I REALLY recommend this tour https://www.cosol-tours.com/ We have done it several times. Just amazing! You will see multiple places, THE best beach in St Lucia (Jalousie/Sugar), eat, drink a lot.

We just cruised with supervised testing. As always we printed everything and had it in app. Nobody really looked at them closely.
