  1. I cut back on them. I no longer dine in any. The novelty wore off after a few times. I don’t see anything special in them except having to pay extra. For me they are overpriced and the food in the dining rooms is good enough. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  2. The necklace was in our cabin. It is a marketing thing promo. I think you have to visit a store in port and waste time looking at their merchandise to get that cheap piece nothing. Would you really wear it? And why? I am not a walking billboard. To be honest we did collect the charms at DI. Waste of time. No longer do that. After the cruise it was stashed and forgotten. Like a lot of junk when traveling it seems like a good idea at the time but afterwards it is in the garage sale or trash. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  3. We were there last year and got high walking down the streets. I am sure it helped the restaurant businesses We have been to Vegas at least 100 times and we live in MI. We got to know many BTs so personal that we were invited and attended parties, dinners and etc. some even came and visited us in MI. We no longer desire to go there. It is a totally different experience and we no longer fit in. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  4. Give them an inch and they will take a mile. It will migrate into other areas and the staff won’t don’t anything. If that is the future with X then I am done after the cruises I have booked. Will look at the real premium lines and spend my money there if they have a better no smoking policy. If not my cruising days are done. I don’t need to spend my money to be subjected to air that affects me. GOODBYE Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  5. Apparently they want to attract the younger crowd and get rid of the old loyal passengers that made them what they are. The older passengers no longer spend as much on stuff because they already bought it, or learned from experience that it is a waste of money. The younger crowd that may get the $10 to $20 thousand loan forgiveness because they can’t afford to live because of those payments will now think they have some money to spend on cruises and Celebrity wants them because they are hopefully the future. Good for one cruise until their money runs out. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  6. From the last experience I had purchasing a Future Cruise Certificate in Mar 2023 If you do this you have 60 or 90 days to make a booking. You can do what they call a place holder booking that is far off in the future. If you do that you need to book a refundable deposit fare, if not you not be able to transfer and will lose the deposit. You can then transfer it to any cruise you find later. It can be any category and a NR or refundable fare. With any NR fare you will lose $100 pp if you cancel the booking. The rest of the deposit is given as a certificate that can be applied towards the payment of another cruise. Policies are constantly changing so it is always best to check for the latest. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  7. With the new vaping policy they may be testing the market to allow recreational marijuana. 😱🙄😋 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  8. I forgot about the beer nuts bar mix that they also serve. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  9. That is why you only get 3. 🫒🫒🫒🍸 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  10. Olives at the Martini Bar There is also a menu at the Craft bar. It is has a menu with some Gastro Food The Mast grill for burgers, dogs and etc Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  11. I tend to agree with you. The BTs at the WCB and Martini Bars are usually very good . The Eden Bar also has good BTs. Even at those bars one BT will be better than the others. I have also found some great BTs at the other bars. It doesn’t take me very long to find them. Once I do those are the places I go to. We have found that if we get a drink in the Martini bar that comes from the service station it doesn’t seem to be as good. It could just be the presentation. Drink up 🍸🍹🧉🍷🥂
  12. Did you finish every one or leave those that you didn’t like? With the drink pack if order a drink and I don’t like it I will leave it. This even happens with drinks that I normally drink. If it isn’t made right I will leave it. I usually drink Old Fashions and it is unbelievable how some can’t make a good one. Drink up 🥂🍷🧉🍹🍸
  13. It is a loyalty for cruises. The current point system is fine. I can understand now awarding more points for certain categories as many have reached the upper levels by sailing in inside cabins before the conversion. This was possible when a point was given for a cruise. When the conversion to the current system took place 30 points were given for each point you had. If someone had 25 cruises they were at least elite plus. I think at the time you got a point per cruise 2 if in a concierge or above and 3 if the cruise was over a certain length. You could have sailed in lower category and got 2 points if on a longer cruise. It was nothing for people living near the port to take many 3 or 4 day cruises. 100 of those cruises and they would have been Zenith. I don’t think that those that do book the higher end categories are concerned about their Club status. They will continue to book those categories and the benefits don’t mean much With so many passengers moving into the higher levels I am thinking that there are going to be some cuts in the benefits. The Zenith are no longer given access to the retreat areas unless sailing in a suite. on one cruise I was on there were over 1800 passengers that were Elite or above. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  14. On almost every Roll Call people would say that they are going to start at the top of the list on the Martini menu and work their way down. I think we all have those intentions but I wonder if anyone has actually done it. It seemed possible having a drink pack but I would try one and not like it because it was too sweet and then look at the next one on the list and it seemed basically the same except for a different juice and etc. I know I could have ordered it just to try but I didn’t want to order something when I know that I won’t like it. Out of all of those on the menu I doubt if I have had 50% of them for that reason. I have done the same at the WCB and Eden Bar. There aren’t as many drinks on those menus but some just don’t appeal to me. I do think over the years I have tried every drink at the WCB and only found 2 or 3 that I like. In Eden I have only tried a few and didn’t like them enough to order again. A few were those that had an extra charge. Have you ever tried all of them? Drink up 🍸🍹🧉🥂🍷
  15. Curious about your bed. Do you have one of these? https://www.hastens.com/us/?gad=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwISlBhD6ARIsAESAmp6G6z5UTBmiNklJTjZy8xWyShL5vJr3c3A4jxeHl67vLNf0V5eL3XcaAn4gEALw_wcB Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  16. The worse time is in the morning. I think everyone is on it. As someone else mentioned be sure to logout when done. If you just close the browser the time keeps running. It doesn’t log you out. When you log in and out it will show amount of minutes left. I think if you run over you are charged by the minute and it gets very expensive. You need to ask to verify as things constantly change. I also had a hard time streaming a football game on the premium. It kept freezing up. I never had any good results trying to steam anything with the premium. The last time I tried was on the Beyond in March for some of the March Madness games Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸
  17. I wish that they would sail in the cheap seats instead of the largest suite on the ship to see how useless most of Kelly’s designs are. Also to see how good or bad the infinite balconies really are. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  18. I am not complaining about the price match. I am only posting to let others know and think about when booking if you think that a “sale” may be coming. When I booked I didn’t ask about being price match as I am use to sailing on Celebrity and other cruise lines that did a price match. if you read the reviews of MSC you will read a lot of things that people complain about having to pay extra for, some are and some are not in the Yacht Club. As I wrote I can only go by what they wrote as I haven’t been on MSC I booked the Yacht Club and it is only for 3 nights. If there is a charge for something and I want it I will pay for it. I booked the cruise because it is only 3 nights so I could get a feel for the cruise line. It is 5 days before a B2B Celebrity cruise and on the way driving from MI to FL. If I don’t like it fine, if it is fantastic then I will book more. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  19. It became very confusing when working on an American Car. They would have a mix of metric and standard. I mentioned it to one of the engineers that designed the cars. I said why don’t they just use all metric and not make it so confusing when working on a car? His answer was it is easy to tell if it is metric or not. If it is painted blue it is metric. I said that is great when the car is new but here in Michigan after a few years of the salt during the winter that blue is no longer there. You don’t know if it is metric, standard or has been eroded. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  20. If you do try their Salmon Ruben. It is our go to favorite. We always upgrade it to Sweet Potato Fries. The food on their brunch is really good. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. We joined their mug club and also wine club years ago. We live about 35 miles away but have got our value out of it. Don’t be shy about asking for a sample of the beer you want to order. Received a Email from the Whitney. It is a very nice dining experience. Great food This is a great deal. I think the Whitney is rated as one of the best restaurants in the area https://www.thewhitney.com/ Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  21. I recently booked a cruise in the Yacht Club. The price of the cruise went down because of a 4th of July sale. I called about getting the price match and was told that MSC doesn’t do a price match. I was told that the deposits for the Yacht Club are NR so I could cancel the cruise and rebook but the loss of the deposit would offset most of the decrease. Just something to think about when booking a MSC cruise. For the most part the MSC appears to be a better value and offers fantastic service according to the reviews I have read. I haven’t traveled with them yet so I can only go by those reports. It also appears as if they nickel dime for many things that you would expect to be included. Still not a deal breaker for the difference in cost. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  22. I was met a person that works at a Costco Service Desk . She said some people would come in and want a price adjustment on the price of gas that went down 2 cents a gallon since they bought it a few days earlier. She said that she would get tired of arguing with them and would reach into her pocket and give them the money that usually was less than 25 cents. I said that I wouldn’t have been that generous and would have stuck with the policy and if they insisted called for the manager. Those people that drive the Bentley are usually very frugal and cheap. That is why they can afford one. 🤑 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  23. Thanks. It is in the Yacht Club. If I were to cancel and rebook I may end up saving $40. But if for some reason I have to cancel I would now be out both deposits. Not worth messing with. I will just have to eat and drink more to make up for it 😱🤢🤗🙄 Will have to follow pricing trends to see if it is worth booking on board too far in advance. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  24. I booked my first MSC cruise less than a month ago. I now see that the 4th of July sale is about 10% less. I called MSC and was told that they don’t do a price match or adjustment. Is this true or is it the agent I got wrongfully telling me that? If I do cancel and rebook I may be ahead a few dollars after losing the deposit and wouldn’t be worth doing. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  25. I think Celebrity has changed to that policy because so many are cancelling their cruises to book with others lines that have more appeal to them. For many of us losing $200 isn’t much compared to what the cruise would have cost and thinking about what we could have had for the same cost or less. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
