  1. I booked a really good deal on Delta first class one way Orlando to Barcelona. The next day it went "poof"....happy I punched the "buy" button when I did. 😮 And agree on the air miles. 🙂
  2. Indeed once you get to know the bartenders, they are fun to deal with on figuring out your tastes...and will make you a drink to order. Bartender on EX in the VCL got me hooked on Vodka sours with Grey Goose. 😋
  3. Plus nice relaxing lunch in CK and comfortable place to store your carry on bags near you. 🙂 We always head straight up there when we board. 🥰
  4. Want something really different?. Try a "Peanut Butter and Jelly". 😉 Bartender on Wonder 2 weeks ago introduced us to that. Skrewball whiskey, splash of Chambord, splash of Cranberry juice over ice.
  5. Boarding time is different than check in time at the terminal outside. You may get lucky to get checked in early, but being in a suite...you do have the option to arrive an hour ahead of your scheduled time. Boarding can be an altogether different thing. On our last Wonder cruise, there was a Coast Guard inspection. Everything was pushed back almost 2 hours. Many things can delay boarding time. But once inside, being in a suite, you have access to a comfortable seating area to the far right side towards the front facing the ship. Enjoy your cruise. 🙂
  6. 2 pm check in at terminal...trying to board at 11 am...could be iffy. Maybe an hour spread..or even two...but pushing it at 3 hours. All depends on the mood of the port crew members you run into. You may get lucky...or.....
  7. Thanks again Orville...for once again taking us along on the 2nd half of your journey! Really enjoying your review and the Serenade report. 🤗 Hope you have smooth sailing on the way back to Miami.
  8. On a related theme....there is also a store on board the ships for crew purchases. Laughingly called "The Slop Chest". 😄
  9. My sister's place was one of them. Poor sis...it was the year after her big sister convinced her to move down here to Florida from Michigan. But she loves it here. 😉
  10. I remember meeting him some years ago, but can't remember which ship. Brain not what it used to be. 😉
  11. Yes, indeed it was. They were great shows. Apparently the liability and the accidents became too much for them...or at least that is what one of the officers told me years ago. Not sure if that was the case, but that was what he believed.
  12. We are still hoping they may add it. My sister lives in Vero Beach, and has heard they may put a station near there. I am just guessing here...but all the companies that make a lot of money doing shuttle service for pax and luggage from the airport to PC...would howl loudly should the train stop near the port. Then it would just be short taxi ride to the ship here. The ideal spot would be Cocoa. There used to be a train station there...turned restaurant. Lots of area along state Hwy US 1 to put one in. Would help with all the traffic on 528, and less of a carbon footprint as well I should think.
  13. Totally agree. Have mentioned that several times to the shore excursion staff, after a bad tour. "Please put someone on these tours at least once to check them out for accuracy". We are paying RCI for the product, and they are getting their cut. Time to get their head out of the sand. 😉
  14. Nice! 🙂 Yes, please let us know how it worked out for you. Do want to try the train someday. We are quite a bit further from MCO than you are, so we need to use a shuttle service....lady that does that as a retirement supplement that lives in our community. She is very reliable. I could actually get first class on Delta checking 4 bags included in fare, versus paying for coach and paying for each bag separately. 😮
  15. We as well. Indeed that new terminal is beautiful and so modern. I love the moving pictures in some of the gates. 🙂
  16. Indeed, RCI used to post reviews (with pictures even) of the tours. But that was years ago. If it was due to so many bad reviews...I think the fix should have been to improve the tours and make them as described...which many are not even close! 😠 Hit and miss on those tours for us...IMHO I would say 30-40% are actually worth it, and that is being optimistic. And like mentioned...we only do the RCI tours in cities we are not familiar with, and do feel better knowing RCI is responsible for getting us back to the ship.
  17. Yes, I remember looking down through the port hole style glass window...view of the Centrum all the way down. Eerie...but pretty cool. I know some Radiance sisters have the LA near the pool tables on six...but can't remember which ones were which, though obviously Serenade is one of them now. I know Jewel still has the LA on that "floating circle" up there. But can't remember if Serenade still had it up there until now?
  18. Last night seared Tuna...Mmmmm....we get ours "swimming". 😄 Bucky loves the Cheese Tortellini, and I also like the Veal Cannelloni (which is huge portion, so we share one plate). Enjoy the cabin...1770 is a great location. Though only problem there is crew door right across the hallway (noise)...but not bad.
