  1. Indeed as previously posted...has never been such a thing as Diamond Plus lounge. You are probably referring to the Concierge Lounge. A year ago Diamond Plus were kicked out of the Concierge lounge. The Diamond Lounge (now being changed to "Crown Lounge") is where Diamonds, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacles go for a loyalty lounge. Suites Lounge (and what is left of the named Concierge lounges) are for GS and above, or if numbers low enough in total...Pinnacles not in a suite invited in (but that is not a given). We prefer to use our drink vouchers at the various bars and lounges around the ship, with the VCL being our favorite. We do use the lounges for morning coffee...but that is about it. You will have 5 drink vouchers per person to use at any of them...at any time.
  2. MP....I am in the same camp as you are. We detest what they did to the little (once natural) island. Joanie Mitchel sang about it in "Big Yellow Taxi".
  3. That's good...I would hate to think you had to shove dirt in your ears!! 😄
  4. Great cabin and location...my hearing is pretty good, thus can't shut it out of my light sleeping nights. Of course Bucky is mostly deaf and would sleep right through it. 😉
  5. Already did last year. B2B med, staying on for 2 week TA. Loved it so much, we booked the same cabin again, #1770 for end of this month. 🥰
  6. We adore 9256 as a favorite. Would rather have our usual choice of a JS on that size of ship, but unfortunately 1100 is directly below the outdoor WJ (which includes outdoor voice level talking) and as mentioned, the scraping of chairs and early morning, late evening cleaning.
  7. Perfectly stated...and so true for us as well my friend. Looking forward to CK again for another B2B on Wonder, end of this month. And Joy ofJoys!!!.....Grace is on board as host. We adored her on Harmony! 🥰
  8. I think CK is open for breakfast until 8:30, but the last ushered walk off is 8 am, from what I remember the last time.
  9. It's the quieter atmosphere we enjoy in CK versus the MDR. Sometimes it's so loud in the MDR that we can't hear ourselves talking to each other.
  10. Ahh...the Monarch. Loved that little ship...but I hate to point out to you...there never was a Suite's Lounge on the little ship. Everyone enjoyed cocktails in the Viking Crown Lounge, which set up for that for 3 hours in the evening only with "guard dogs" at the entrance. No coffee machines, no keyed entry. The VCL the rest of the time is open to the general public.
  11. Thanks...more room on the lovely Radiance class ladies for us! 🥰
  12. I detest that when they do that!!! 😠 I like my 6 am coffee. Most times some ships disconnect the milk line until they set up at 8 am. I like my morning Latte. Have actually started keeping small milk boxes in the fridge for back up should that happen. Hope all is well with the SL coffee machine on Wonder end of the month...or they will be dealing with one grouchy morning Lady. 😉
  13. Technically...though now it does not make much difference, Serenade still has the old "CL" (Concierge Lounge). The four Radiance class sisters have not changed the name to "Suites Lounge"...as of yet. The DL (which I assume will now be called the "Crown Lounge") is right across the hallway. The CL is a lovely lounge, and if you time it right, can sit at the small half circle bar (our favorite). Also has a sliding door to an outside seating area that is nice on good weather days.
  14. Yup, we turned around at Vilshofen going back to Passau, where we stayed over night. The Vidar actually stayed there for 3 days waiting for the southbound pax to board.
  15. We never stopped in Bratislava. Still not sure why. It looked like a lovely town! 🙂
  16. Good suggestion, but there are no regular balcony cabins anywhere near the CLS cabins. Not even close to the same deck.
  17. Unfortunately, your wife and child will not have a designated "suites" card. Let's face it...they are not in a suite. You saved money by booking the standard cabin for them. In hindsight, could have booked two suites if you were concerned about everyone getting suites perks?
  18. LOL...too funny! I had named it "Disease on wheels"....but yours is funnier! 😄 We held onto health for the first 10 days, but since the Petri dish bus tours were most generous with the germ sharing...we finally fell victim. I am better now, but Bucky is still sick. Sigh..is not how we planned to spend the last leg of our cruise. 😞 The low water ship swap 4 hour bus ride was unavoidable of course. We cancelled quite a few tours, including the optional ones that we were not reimbursed for. Felt we needed to do the right thing as to not wanting to spread it around with us being sick in close quarters on the bus. Unfortunately too many others did not care, and still rode those busses coughing and sneezing. Uggh...
  19. LOL...thanks! I could complain more about the downside of some parts of life...but who would listen? 😄 Not worth it. Actually we are also branching out to the Viking Ocean ships, and probably will be one of our favorites...the Expedition ships. 🙂 Trying to cover it all while we can!
  20. Thanks...sigh...too late for us. 😞 Our 4 hour bus ride from hell to transfer from Passau to Nuremburg, included our bus choice having no A/C and an 80 lady pile up at McDonalds to use the small toilet facility. Ugh... We were not lucky with levels on this cruise. Drats. Oh well, win some..lose some. That's life.
