  1. That would make sense. Being at sea for weeks might bring them all the way around Andros. They must have really been blown off course. There was a lot of wind out there the last few days.
  2. Are you sure it was Cuban refugees? Liberty is currently sitting right next to us here in Nassau, having been here since early this morning. Liberty is doing 3 night cruises to Coco Cay and Nassau. They were no where near Cuba.
  3. Might be making up for lost time, or perhaps normal schedule (as we are on Jewel) but there are six ships in Nassau right now. NCL Dawn and Pearl. Carnival Liberty and RCI Liberty (which could cause confusion?), HAL, and we here on the Jewel.
  4. We did the TA and 2 loops around the Med this last Oct./Nov. Have already booked the same cabin again out of PC for same time next year...B2B. Loved that cabin (#1770) that much. 🙂
  5. We were next door in 1770 for four weeks (which included TA). 1768 should be identical. Normal balcony for a GS. One of the best things about those two cabins, is less foot traffic. Everyone uses the opposite side to walk through and into CK and the SL.

  7. We as well....but there were so many things he did or didn't do that other hosts for TAD do so much better. I think he just did not have much training on the procedure.
  8. 102 of us, badly mismanaged. Met in theater. Someone needs to teach Deep (DL concierge) how to do it better. Met at 9:00 am...finally marched off the ship, back on by 10 am.
  9. New menu report. First night, of new menu on Jewel. (Welcome aboard menu). Recommended crab cakes for appetizer. Crispy tasty and a bit spicy. New spinach and artichoke dip. Stale corn chips, watery soup like tasteless dip. Fried Chicken (same as old menu). Crispy tasty. Stuffed Portobello with spinach and red sauce. Too much sauce and piled with tasteless Panko. Dessert: Old menu Key lime pie (delicious) and I had the SF chocolate custard (wonderful). Disclaimer: All subject to personal taste. 😉
  10. Should be warming back up to a comfortable 70 in Nassau today. 🙂 Pulling in to port now.

  12. Not really warm (for whimpy Florida residents) here either. Going down to 30 degrees tonight here in PC, and in the low 50s for a high, with a lot of cold wind out of the NW right now.

  15. Human nature and very common on CC. Once a thread has pretty much run it's course...it's like herding cats after that...which I am sure you are very familiar. 😸
  16. Checked out..and back in....ready for "go round #2" here on Jewel. Indeed the menu has loaded on the app and looks good! Will be fun to try the new dishes this week. 🙂
  17. Reference the typical "I am going to eat my money's worth" mentality in the WJ by some pax ......with their morbidly overloaded plates. 😛
  18. When we pulled into Aurba here on Jewel last week, there were actually 20-30 pax wandering around on deck that morning. They were not there long, but all of them were wearing black, and they all gathered on the bow deck for a bit...then disappeared.
  19. We have never done the Panoramic cabins...I like my fresh air balcony. But indeed interesting.
  20. As Gary just said...we will be official Guinea Pigs for first roll out of new menu here on Jewel. Was surprised at the Chef's announcement, and looking forward to when the app updates to see the new items. First leg last week was old menu...this will be nice for a change in food offerings for second leg! 🙂
  21. Was much better than Serenade a couple of weeks ago. Back to Surf and Turf, which we like, and two other items that I can't remember right now...6 am brain. 😉 Though unlike Wonder and Harmony...the "surf" is shrimp not lobster. My steak was fantastic...big thick Chop's steak perfectly prepared. Clam chowder and salad were appetizers.
  22. At the Pinnacle lunch just now on Jewel...the head chef announced that the new menus start for us next week. Will be an interesting six night cruise. 😉 Happy we don't have any specialty restaurants booked...want to check it out.
