  1. Did not happen that way for us. Chops +1 prepaid online. Simple to add on second person, zero bill at the "+1" which was Giovannis on first night, then a bit more confusion but same result in Chops on second night. Though with RCI....you are talking ship to ship "Really Consistently Inconsistent". 😉
  2. It's technically the "Radiance class". Four sisters, Radiance, Jewel, Brilliance, and Serenade (of where I am currently on and typing from my cabin). This ship is not doing the overflow into the VCL. Vouchers can, and are, used at any bar....any time. No need for overflow.
  3. Except for MJ and Monarch. No lounges on those. The event was held up in the VCL...and was also very good! 🙂
  4. That was actually the "Diamond Event" which was introduced as an area in one of the lounges during happy hour after the Ds were kicked out of the CL. There was no such thing as a DL until they were built on various ships to appease the uproar. Some of our most fond memories were of those "events" with the beer/wine/cheap bubbly on Freedom. The "bar food peanuts" were appreciated as well. And this former D....does remember. 😉
  5. For us, it was not the $$...it was the availability. By the time we got on the ship, nothing...nada...zip available for Chops. For second leg, I booked "Chops +1" online in advance while still on first leg. Could pick any time I wanted, but for some reason could not do it if I just booked Chops alone. Guess RCI wants to push the packages. 😕
  6. Currently on second leg Serenade out of Tampa. 12/3: No fog 12/10: Some fog, but captain wisely came in two hours early to get ahead of it. No delays at all. Tampa is notorious for fog problem due to long...long transit through the shallow bay, and restrictions going under the Sunshine Skyway bridge. Would I continue to cruise out of Tampa, even though it is a two hour drive for me, rather than going out of PC 20 minutes from home? You bet your cruising butt I will. 😉 Love to mix it up.
  7. Threshold on Serenade is 30. We were at 66 a week ago, 54 this week. Under 30 next week, thus was told Pinnies back into the CL for that week. We just never know, but really don't use the lounges for happy hour drinks anyway. Prefer the other bars/lounges, especially the VCL...which just happened to be where the Pinnie Event is on this ship.. ...worked well for us!! 😉
  8. LOL 😄 😄 Yup, we have been having just an "awful" time enjoying the Pinnacle Event in the VCL each night here on Serenade. Much quieter than the crowded and noisy DL, and the CL is a tomb.
  9. Sorry, but wrong. Have been on Serenade for two weeks now with no access to CL as a Pinnacle, and other Pinnacles have told me it has been the same for weeks now. Obviously that included D+. On Wonder TA, we purposely booked a GS to have access to Coastal Kitchen, which gave us access to SL. Pinnacles not in a suite had no access to SL. We don't bother with anything above a JS on ships without CK. Pretty much now...if you want access to CL and SL...book a full suite.
  10. Not too many sailings now that Pinnies in non suite are allowed in CL/SL.
  11. Coffee machine is not reliable in the DL on our current adventure.....and can't access the CL as alternative. 😞
  12. D+ AND Pinnacle banned from CL last 3 weeks here on Serenade. Indeed...the CL is empty every night. I feel sorry for the waiters and especially the concierge in that lounge....tips are not lining their pockets. 😞
  13. Being Pinnacle and having access to CL/SL is not a given either....with no way to know if you do or not.....until after you board.
  14. And Pinnies get 6 comped drinks, three bottles of wine (on 7 night and above)....no matter how many points they have over 700.
  15. Standardization is not a quality that RCI maintains. 😉 Though I am happy to see them finally make a fleet wide policy change. Frustrating when it is ship to ship differences. Seems the magic number for non-suite Pinnies for access to CL/SL is having under 30 on any given cruise. Not sure if that one is ship to ship either. 😵
  16. Serenade sailing week 12/3...indeed 66 Pins, not allowed in CL. This week 12/10, 54 Pinnies, still not allowed in CL. Was told by Jasmine, the LA....only 24 Pinnacles next week. They are back to CL. She has been doing a good job of taking care of the Pinnacle "private event" which is a roped off section of the VCL.
  17. Yeah, kind of like watching those "reality" shows? If everyone was tame, polite, and never got upset on those shows...how many would watch? 😉 😄
  18. You are most welcome! Enjoy your upcoming B2B! 🙂
  19. B2B changing cabins: Clothing on hangers in the closet is supposed to be moved for you (one of those garment carts) but need to put everything else in suitcases. Let your cabin attendant know you are staying on, but changing cabins. I would put a tag on those suitcases with your new cabin number, just to be on the safe side. Could be as simple as a hand written note on them. WJ has been open for dinner every night, and will be this week again as well. We enjoy the open air dining for casual lunch on the aft behind the WJ. Main dining room has been totally packed every night for dinner, and the only 3 specialty restaurants are very busy as well...especially Chops (which is tough to get a reservation for). Makes me wonder how busy the WJ is for dinner, but I do know they are open each night.
