  1. Yeah, TAs are a world apart from "normal" cruises. Everything is different. On recent Wonder TA, Pinnies had all of Solarium Bistro for just them for both breakfast and lunch. There were over 300 of us. Brilliance doing the Tampa RT runs right now...I am guessing Pinnies are back to Chops for breakfast as usual.
  2. Hey...wait a minute...I have been eating with Bucky for most of the last 30 years. 😄
  3. That news gives me more of a feeling that the ship is definitely not sold out. Forgot to ask you.....did you get traditional dining in the MDR? I was told by several phone agents, and the Next Cruise lady that we are all designated to MTD. Not happy about that....MTD (IMHO) has been a huge fail lately...but perhaps will be different set up for WC?
  4. Oh no....not more Serenade blocks!! Uggh...either will refuse them or...as lately...give them to crew members. I just received a seventh Serenade block last week. I gave it to our cabin attendant. He was so happy, he almost cried!
  5. Really? That's odd. Just disembarked twin sister Serenade (docked next to Brilliance in fact in Tampa). We (as Pinnacles) and all suites guests were invited into Chops for breakfast each morning. We used it for two weeks and loved the meals in there....for breakfast that is....dinner another story. Perhaps you had a huge number of Pinnies on board, and could not fit them all in with the suites?
  6. Agree...the omelet stations in the WJ are nice...except when there is a long line. 😮 Oops...sorry. I thought you were Pinnacle. On ships without a CK, suites and Pinnacles are invited into Chops for breakfast. And just Pinnacles if it is a CK ship. I miss the old "Tutti Salad Bar" pre Covid cruises in the MDR for lunch. I guess they decided not to bring it back...sadly. 😞
  7. Thanks...and is what I assumed also. Have spent too much time dwelling on the large ladies the last couple of years. It was good to downsize to a smaller ship this month. Refreshing change of pace. ☺️
  8. Huh...drats. I should have checked it out on Serenade we just disembarked from. Like you, seems I have not been on the smaller ships lately, though I have quite a few coming up in the next few months. One thing we do take advantage of on the smaller ships...Chops for breakfast...yum! 😋
  9. LOL...basic important rules of news reporting. Where, when, who, what? 😄 Or in this case...what ship, what port would help. 😉
  10. I thought we got those due to being kicked out of CK on ships that have them? I kept forgetting to use them...but did snag two of them to use. Did not realize we got those on the smaller ships?
  11. Same thing. Tried Chops one more time, (and was the one that got nasty trying to get us to pay the second person...even though we had BOGO). Service was bad...food was "meh". Giovanni's on the other hand was fantastic. We decided not to do Chops for dinner again. Done with it. Breakfast? Great! But not dinner again.
  12. Or be nice and do the right thing. Board in general line together. What is so hard about that?
  13. Heads up....Wonder does not have the web style small chairs in the theater like her four sisters. They are all hard bench seats and on bad weather days (or stack soot) you may not like sitting on those exposed benches. Simple for us to bring a pool towel to sit on. We were only able to make reservations on the app (or GS or concierge) for the show once we boarded. DH went one night without his phone, so was unable to prove he had reservations which was clearly shown on the app. He was refused entry. He walked up to the level with the wall climb area...stood and watched it from there.
  14. I don't recommend sailing mid to late March though. Won't make that mistake again....ugg!! 😮 We are back to doing end of January for our B2B2B again.
  15. Indeed...exactly what we experienced. Very happy to stick with early traditional now on the smaller ships.
  16. Totally simple. Just hang back and board with your non-suite relatives. Stay together. You will all get on the ship at some point...it won't leave without you.
  17. Exactly this for us. 😉 ^ ^ And Mariner was our first RCI ship as well...when she was brand new and based at PC. Though we do have river cruises with other lines coming up....Big ole RCI ships can't seem to do the rivers. 😄
  18. Met a D+ couple on Serenade couple of weeks ago. They were half way to Pinnacle even. They had no idea about the wine when we talked about it. I told them to go to the LA on board, which they did, and were elated when we saw them the next day. The LA put it in their profile, and sent them 2 bottles of wine that day 🙂 RCI hoping you won't know about it. 😉
