  1. My sister did the same thing yesterday. Was like you, 24 hours. Ours was first time application. I did the original application in May of last year, had to wait six months for conditional approval...then wait until this month just to get an appointment to have pictures, fingerprints, present passports, drivers license, and face to face interview. Had to drive 2 hours south, versus the 45 minutes it would take to drive to Orlando. Orlando had no appointments available at all this year. Yikes.
  2. Radiance ladies do not have a promenade...thus no promenade cafe. So indeed, best bet is to to the WJ annex area, which is under cover but actually outside. Very convenient for early coffee.
  3. Most of the time if they are scanning your card, it is for highly booked events due to needing reservations. Not really due to age.
  4. Yup, definitely. Just 20 miles from our home. No hotels, rental cars, or flights needed. 😉 We used up one of our freebie certificates to be on Wonder again 2 weeks ago (very convenient for only a one week cruise). This is how we waited to board next door at Grills. 😄
  5. 100 for each leg that is under 14 days. But don't feel bad. We are on a cruise that is over 14 days that is giving us the 250 ...but that cruise is 62 nights. So per day...even less OBC than you.
  6. Agree...we are same. Simply not beach people any longer. Me, I am too tired of being cut on with skin cancer...ouch in so many ways. 🤕 We live near the beach in Florida, but never go there. So our land based trips are in other areas with current rental homes booked in Alaska, Maine, and Oregon. Our cruises on other lines are in the more adventurous areas of the world. Too much been there done that in the Carib. 😉
  7. I really don't see the problem here. When the ship lists an event as "adults only"...that is what it is. Adults only. Those events are very rare. Please parents...take your children to the other 99% of the ship where the little darlings can (and will) run wild.
  8. Yeah, he was a tad bit intense. 😉 😄 We as well, when we came in there as you were leaving. We are just here for the freebies sir. 🤣
  9. I remember that t-shirt you won! 😄 Ahh...the old gold coins with the dedicated slot machine with the red light on top. Funny they did not make that a much more user friendly machine to get the hook into the newbies. 😄
  10. Go for it OB....you have nothing to lose but a fun thing to do on a sea day...but go very early...less pax, less smoke. 😉
  11. Congrats! Indeed exciting to start booking more than one cruise a year! 🥰 I have some cruises booked with Royal this year and next. And add to that several booked with other lines. Though a few of them are 30-60 nights each. 😉
  12. Agree totally. Unfortunately those are not parents....they are breeders. Parents show their children how to grow up to be respecting, mature adults.
  13. Happy to hear you enjoyed your time, my soccer loving friend. 😉
  14. I like to mix it up. Yes, Royal has had my loyal business for over 20 years, but now I am booking other lines due to so many cutbacks and over pricing. I am still paying a pack of $$ for other lines I am booking, but I am getting back the better service, food, and perks that is lost to me (IMHO) with Royal now. Royal pricing to me is up there to comparable pricing with higher end lines, so why do I need Royal? And the other thing is we don't just cruise. Have a four week stay at a winery guest house coming up the end of May that we will enjoy. And my cooking is far superior than cruise ship food anyway. 😉
  15. Just shy of 2 weeks for me, sent on the 12th which was priority mail (though idiot USPS did not complete tracking) they cashed the check on the 19th. Paid for expedited service. Still nothing yet, but also includes passport card with it, which could slow it down a bit. Though I WAS doing the happy dance yesterday when we finally received our Global Entry cards! Whew...that was a long process!
  16. Same here basically...but we do use the free promo spins (8 buck on first two days) as a goofy thing to do on a sea day morning. This last time on Wonder, we went into the smoke free separate section, and I won 31 bucks. Woo hoo! Gave us extra tip cash. 😄
  17. Aww..thanks! 🤭 We fly into Barcelona on July 9th, reboarding Serenade on the 10th until she ends her tour in Miami on September 10th. Looking forward to being back on board again and the wonderful itinerary coming up for that last quarter. I will be posting my experiences again. 🙂
  18. For now, will miss her when she leaves. 😞 Not really a fan of the large ships any longer, but we do adore the Wonder. Mostly due to all the GS cabins being so convenient to CK/SL. 😉
  19. LOL...you don't really think those casino cruises were "free" do you? 😉
  20. Taking a lot of cruises does not seem to be a problem for us. 😉 Of course the ones over 14 days are 250.00 in OBC.
  21. OMG...I am so glad those days are over! 😄 Now all travel arrangements are made by me for us alone. 😉
  22. Nice!! We are always the odd balls doing our TAD in Vancouver. Most times the port authority and the ship does not know what to do with us. Seward is normally where most do their TAD.
