This might factor in\to your decision. Harmony has regular cabins that can accommodate 5. The only cabins that can accommodate 5 on the Odyssey are some if the suites. Depending on when you are sailing there is a Kids sail free on so on Harmony all 3 kids would be free while on Odyssey you would need to get 2 rooms and only one child would be free.

Standby lists mean that things are sold out and you are waiting for a spot to open up and if one does then you get called. There are waitlists (sane as standby) that you can get put on in the event that a category is sold out but there is no such thing as what you were describing.

Find a pair of connecting cabins. As you look at them from the hall the one on the right has the bed by balcony. The one on the left has the bed by the bath. All balcony cabins follow the balcony, bath, balcony, bath balcony pattern so just work your way down the hall. Or, find a room that holds more than 2 guests and it will always have the bed by the bath and the cabins on either side of it will have the bed by the balcony.

It actually has nothing to do with keeping the original reservation numbers and even if the op had moved her cruise and kept the same reservation number she would not qualify. With the lift and shift program they protected the entire booking which included the kids who were free. That was a one off situation and would not apply to moving a booking in current times.
