I go when we come back from an excursion and we're tired. Or, when I want salad bar( although on the last cruise, they removed white albacore tuna) and Vegetarian Indian food. My wife loves the pizza.
I know its ridiculous. I order Lobster Tails for my own home consumption. I order them from Maine. I dont really care if I get one or two or none on board.
I think the average American supermarket has better items. Still horrid and I'd never buy them. I was super impressed with the bakery offerings in London last month. The cakes were made with actual butter.
We have a lot of travel planned this year( including a cruise), I purchased a yearly policy from Allianz. For 2 of us( 56 and 60), the plan was 715 for a year, we purchased the premier plan.
What about Oceania? We switched over to O. Had our first cruise a year ago( Feb 22) on O. We were super impressed. It didn't hurt that the there were only 338 guests on board. It felt like we were on a private yacht. We booked our next O cruise for September. We did book another Celebrity cruise for Feb 2024 because it had the itinerary we wanted( Great Barrier Reef) and was relatively in expensive for AQ. Now, if only I can find a reasonably priced flight.
Pretty on the outside, tasteless on the inside. For anyone who enjoys those gelatinized cakes in the OV cafe, I say you've never had a real gourmet dessert.
On our Reflection cruise last September, I basically took the medicine cabinet. Covid tests, cold meds, stomach meds, a pulse oximeter, thermometer..... Thankfully, we didn't need it until the day after we got home. My wife came down with Covid.
We were on Equinox in Sept 2019. We were recently on a Reflection cruise( September 2022). I live blogged both cruises if you're interested. The Reflection felt a bit dated. We were in a Suite and we rarely used "Michael's club".
I wonder if X takes into consideration the airfare to Aus/NZ from the US? We're paying less than 7k in AQ for our Great Barrier Reef cruise in Feb 2024. We wanted a SS, all sold out.
I'm glad they've dropped the " Friends of Dorothy" moniker. When my wife and I showed up for one of those meetups way back in 2015, we were the only ones who showed.
Sorry that happened to you. Hope you're feeling better. Both my wife and I received our 5th booster on Sept 8th. We left for Rome on Sept 12th. We boarded Reflection on Sept 16th and flew home on Sept 26th. My wife felt sick on Sept 27th, she tested negative for 2 days until she then tested positive. She took Paxlovid and tested positive for 1 week. I never caught Covid which was a freaking miracle. We still slept in the same bed and I didn't mask up in the house. I'm just glad my wife didn't get sick on the ship. I packed our medicine cabinet with us and everything we'd need in case either of us caught covid. I did not plan on reporting if there was any chance we'd be removed from our Suite.
Marina. it was supposed to be Sirena, but they brought Marina back from Europe. I loved not having to show a sea pass card every time you want a soda/drink. I loved being able to go to any restaurant. We booked Bermuda Bliss on Insignia next September. I would have booked a Great Barrier reef, but the itinerary wasn't available. We're taking a Celebrity GBR cruise in Feb 2024.
