  1. Currently have friends on Coral which is doing WC. They got on in So. Africa and will disembark in Dover. Currently there are about 800 elites so Elite laundry is taking 7 days to be returned.
  2. No, the loyalty command OBC was in $25 increments starting at your 21st cruise credit and then approximately every 10 afterwards it would increase another $25, maxing out at $100 on your 52nd cruise credit. This OBC was discontinued with the restart. It does not make sense if you already have 19 cruise credits, then you should be ‘Elite’. Princess also used to have ‘Milestone’ recognition originally based on number of cruise credits, then it was adjusted to number of days with Princess and then discontinued around end of 2022, but some passengers were grandfathered if they booked their milestone cruise before the end of the program, so they received the milestone benefits on that later cruise, but it was not made public since the program had ended.
  3. Hi @Ken the cruiser, yes that is the excursion that says you take a smaller boat to hopefully get ‘close’ to the glacier. What are you thinking is not as I have described as ship tour offered to take smaller boat to see glacier? On my Sapphire sailing last July, ice conditions in the water prevented the excursion boat from getting much closer than the ship to the glacier, but it does go closer to the coastline. You use the words ‘drive close by’, it is not in a land vehicle, it is a special excursion boat.
  4. @MtnSeaGirl, if your sailing will visit Hubbard Glacier, there is usually a ship tour offered to take smaller boat to get closer to the glacier. It is quite expensive $300+/person. Depending on the ice conditions, you may or may not get much closer than the ship.
  5. My experience has been if Lobster will be served on your sailing in the MDR, it will usually be the ‘last’ formal night of the sailing. It is up to the chef, as on one of my recent 7 night sailings, lobster was on the menu the night after the second formal night.
  6. On a previous sailing, my sister did not have an internet plan, and she did not print out the coupon she wanted to use. She went to Guest Services and they provided a copy of the coupons to her, but first verified that she was eligible, so there is something tied to your booking to let them know. YMMV. The studio is alive and well as on my last sailings on Ruby, Discovery and Enchanted this year, almost every photographer mentioned to me while I was taking my nightly pictures since I had the photo package, was I aware and or interested in a Platinum Studio sitting.
  7. I believe this coupon has a value of $150, as that would be the cost to order a 8x10 print from your Platinum Studio sitting. The Platinum Studio specializes in Black and White photography and the lighting and posing is specialized. I believe the Platinum Studio photographer has done extra training to qualify. A signature pose is to angle the subject, but other examples are usually displayed at the photo gallery. The Princess officer boards at one time had all the officers displayed this way/styled, but Princess seems to have progressed back to traditional color portraits for the Officers board. I know they encourage you to order more than just the ‘free’ print. This requires booking an appointment/sitting with the Platinum Studio, then going back to review the photos at a later time when they have arranged a slide show. You then place an order for your Print, as they are not processed on board. You will receive the print mailed to you anywhere from 3-6 weeks, in most cases.
  8. The coupon book is a promo from your Travel agent from Princess. You receive an email from Princess about a couple weeks before your sailing with a link to print the coupon book. On some ships you used to be able to show the downloaded coupon on your device. For the casino coupon, a ship asked for the physical coupon and said I needed to go and get it printed recently. I have seen some recent promos from TA’s saying they have the coupon book as an amenity, but I know it has been offered for awhile. It was offered for a cruise I booked in March last year for a sailing this month 2024.
  9. Actually depending on the ship, they can. Believe it was on the Discovery and saw a couple of ‘reserved’ seat covers for 2 seats in the front row. I ask a crew member and was told they were for ‘sky’ suite guests and it is on a request basis.
  10. I thought I read the ‘new’ celebrity partnered libations which were to be first introduced on the Sun, will be also available fleet-wide eventually?
  11. Boarding will not commence till the ship has reached ‘zero count’, so it can vary. In my experience, boarding in Vancouver has varied from 11:30-12:30. Will be different for Royal class ships because of the timing of the tides. Checking in for the cruise at Canada place usually starts a few hours earlier. Depends on if you want to do the queues and how many other ships are in port. After completion of check in, there may or may not be segregated holding areas for the different ships. My last sailing, we were grouped with Holland America passengers who were also waiting to board.
  12. Go to your cruise history in your cruise Personalizer to see how many days were credited to your account, but I would think you would have been credited for the cruise count. So your Captain circle status should show as Elite. I was on a sailing that was cut short because of Covid, the sailing was ending early, but Princess still credited the original number of days for the sailing.
  13. @bosswench, I believe Carnival cruises, their VIFP loyalty will recognize you if you are graduating tiers on the first leg, which is a nice perk of their program. Princess officially says ‘days’ do not post till you complete the leg, so you will not be recognized as Platinum till leg 3. You should still stop by the Future cruise agents who now handle Captain Circle issues to give them a heads up to make sure the days post or they can manually ‘update’ your status for leg 3. I know there are exceptions as I was on a transpacific sailing and a passenger was told since they were graduating to the next tier in the first couple of days of this long sailing, they would be recognized at the higher tier for the current cruise and not have to wait till the cruise was completed. I asked the Captain circle host about this and she confirmed Princess will make exceptions, but what the cutoff in early cruise days reaching the next tier is (the first few days?), and what number of days is considered a ‘long’ sailing is not set in stone. YMMV.
  14. Yes, but only on day 1 and day 2 of your sailing. May vary if you are on a short sailing.
  15. You will also get misleading information if the medallion has left the ship. It should show the location where the medallion was tapped out, but I have had cases where it showed it was in a cabin, but I knew the passenger had left the ship to explore the port.
  16. If you look at other sources, the Regal had refurbishments in 2017, 2020 and 2022. The Princess website is not the most up to date source, but you would think it should be. Most ships are required to dry dock every 3-4 years, if not sooner, as you can see from its history.
  17. @DACL, when daughter and MIL arrive to check in, Princess may think medallions were shipped, so will not have ones ready for pick up. No problem, depending on the port, they can make replacement medallions, or they will issue them cruise cards so they can board and then go to Guest services to get replacement medallions. This was my experience when I never received my shipped medallion.
  18. Royal class ships have to time with the tides getting under the lions gate bridge. You will notice the departure on the 28th, is not scheduled till 10:30pm. I believe the Majestic when it arrived from the recent Transpacific sailing, it arrived in the very early morning hours because of the tides. I believe it is only the ‘Royal’ class ships that have to deal with this, as the smaller ships have a regular schedule.
  19. I believe the rate for 4 devices if you buy for entire cruise is $45/day, plat and elites get 50% discount.
  20. Princess does not ‘make’ reservations for the Theatre. For production shows, certain seats will have ‘seatback covers’ saying reserved for the Premier package and probably on upcoming Sun class the Sanctuary class cabins. It is still first come, first served, even for those seats, you are not assigned any seat number. Also these ‘reserved’ seats are not usually front, center. Most would not consider them ‘prime’ location, but convient , so you do not have to arrive so early. My last cruise, I had Premier, but choose to sit up front and center, so I got to the theatre 25-30 minutes before showtime. This timing will vary depending on the other passengers on your ship and their desire to see the shows. Normally the second show around 9:30 is less crowded. YMMV. I believe your cabin a DB, is a ‘deluxe balcony’ which just means it has a sofa, no other amenities come with this category.
  21. You may be confusing the standalone beverage packages where the 18% is added. The Plus and Premier bundles(bev, WiFi, crew appreciation )do NOT have additional charges.
  22. If you order a coffee with Alcohol, it will count towards your 15 alcohol drink limit. Think of it as any cocktail with coffee as the mixer instead of tonic or other mixers. I believe the included specialty coffee at suite breakfast are the non alcohol variety. Yes, I know you get complimentary Mimosas but I believe that is the extent of the included alcohol. The suite breakfast manger can verify your options.
  23. I believe you can only pay with gift cards if you booked EZAir PRIOR to final payment date. If booking EZAir after final payment date, then I believe the answer is NO to using gift cards.
  24. If you have booked the ‘flexible’ air, you pay for your EZAir reservation at final payment but have until 45 days before flight OR start of cruise WHICHEVER is earliest, to either cancel or make changes at no charge, then penalty/fees will apply. When you go into manage my flights, it will show this ‘date’. There is no automatic adjustment, you have to check yourself and make change if fare drops, if you have problems, check your travel summary for the en route delay number and EZAir is available 24/7 via this number.
