  1. We use them but not when going ashore; medallions go in a zipped up pocket.
  2. I wasn't because my wife and I often wear/use them.
  3. I'd say the 1030 flight out of NRT is not feasible on the morning of your arrival in Yokohama.
  4. We've been on CB three times and enjoyed each cruise. My only criticism is the smell of sewage on the promenade deck (deck 7) outside the door near the theatre on the starboard side
  5. A little hard to say.... If there was an increase in the casino credit that indicates, at least to me, a 'promotional fare' of some description. When dealing with promo fares, I've generally experienced the cancel/rebook/get new reservation number process rather than a simple change in price.
  6. If you're in the 61 to 90 day window, the penalty is 50% of the cost of the cruise; taxes and port fees, gratuities are 100% refundable.
  7. I don't mind if zitsky heads on over to the Royal forum.
  8. I don't think Jean-Paul Sartre ever wrestled with this question; me, I'd say no.
  9. Shipping your persoanl effects from Vancouver to a US destination is not as straight-forward as domestic shipping. Princess does not offer this service and, I expect, you'd be hard pressed to arrange it yourself.
  10. Still no availability on Koningsdam for the Feb/Mar cruise (176 days to departure) out of San Diego.
  11. If you plan on missing the ship and catching up with a ferry, don't forget to take your passport ashore.
  12. My experience is that you are more likely to encounter bad weather on the east to west TA in the fall.
  13. There are no airside hotels at LHR.
  14. There are 29 countries in the Schengen area. Along with COVID, the 2024 Olympic Games, war in Ukraine, etc.... is it a great surprise that this initiative has met with delays?
  15. So, you have (from a few months ago) a price breakout that clearly shows one passenger fare and two 'taxes and port fees'?
  16. Agreed. Additionally, I'd feel embarrassed to have been engaged in the conversation.
  17. On embarkation day youncan carry on soft drinks... Here is a screen shot of Celebrity FAQ on the matter.
  18. That is the Consulate in Montreal; I provided the email for the Embassy in Ottawa. Good luck to all with the Egypt visa adventure... must be frustrating beyond belief.
  19. The rooms are 'smallish' from a North American perspective but are pretty much on a par with what you'd get in NYC, London or Paris and less expensive. We had a room with breakfast, which we thought was pretty good. Did not notice any particular issue with the bedding; we slept well enough and it was quiet. Shinjuku station is an easy five to ten minute walk from the hotel. Last time we were there, we flew into NRT and took Narita Express to Shinjuku. Making your way from HND to Shinjuku will require a transfer but ought not be a problem and is faster and less expensive. Easy access to many sights using Shinjuku as a base.
  20. Agree with Miaminice. We like Hotel Gracery in Shinjuku area. Especially nice if you're a Godzilla fan!! Easy access to Shinjuku station (trains and subway), including NRT and HND. https://shinjuku.gracery.com/#_ga=2.99166878.1843614556.1723936349-783607904.1723936349
  21. The Egyptian Embassy email address is: Embassy.ottawa1@mfa.gov.eg
