    We saw Northern Lights & shooting stars on a Lapland trip one December. Magical - enjoy them if you get the chance. I’d like to do midnight Sun one time as well.

    Very true 😂 but these are London residents who commented on the prices which would mean the DK place will be even worse - which is what I was trying to say! Just not particularly well. We are currently in Cyprus & are surprised at how much prices have gone up here also compared to when we were here last year. Ukraine v Russia seems to be affecting them as well.

    My youngster has come back & loved it. They went on a day trip (no details annoyingly) but says it’s a beautiful island. So I stand corrected & by tring 😁

    Mykonos is notoriously expensive & attracts a generally wealthy crowd. We know a few people who have been this year (land holiday) and won’t be going back.

    I do intermittent fasting but never on holiday - pre cruise practically every day for a month or two 😂

    You’ll get a fair few points though being in an EV which could make a difference for a cruise if not in suite.

    What times are best - we usually eat after 8pm.

    That’s outrageous. However when we were in Connie PH there was a large family group PH & 2 RS & we ended up sharing our butler with them. We didn’t complain but it did affect how our butler was.

    Personally I don’t think it’s appropriate to tip in Luminae for a specific table but I see no problem in asking.

    You absolutely do not need to tip from Southampton as it’s not expected. Mind you no one will hand it back.

    But they rely on people to test & then report back. Not sure everyone would if they felt just a bit under the weather. We always travel with test kits but not everyone I know does.

    Some people will test & have kits. We always do. Others like a friend probably won’t unless they feel really unwell. At some point covid will be regarded the same as the flu or a bad cold

    When my sister & I have sailed Europe v Caribbean, European cruises seems dressier for some reason. Sister in law also observed the same.

    We too wouldn’t be able to book an EV as I can’t do stairs very easily. It’s a shame as would have loved to try & one accessible EV would have had me hammering at the door!

    We like to eat around 8/8.30/8.45 so hoping that will work if we go to grab a pager & have a drink or 2 in the bar first.

    That’s a good idea & what we do in our family holiday home. That way everyone gets to bring a couple of books & there will easily be 10 books to choose from.

    We like ice in our drinks just not as much as Americans as it seems (well to me) that it waters the drink down too much…

    For those of you that can run. Luckily for me I have a husband who does the running for me if the butler can’t. Thank you for the tip re wines… may get some champagne to take on board though a little worried should they break in the case. Possibly carry on from duty free May work…
