  1. Captain Jason just posted a video (timed 17 minutes ago); it shows his cabin so I'm thinking he'll be sailing.
  2. If memory serves, the coffee station/Hideaway is on deck 7.
  3. Look for an incredibly hot guy with a to-die-for Australian accent...that's Captain Jason of "Below Deck Down Under"...hubba hubba..................
  4. SOOO excited for you. I just saw on Instagram that all of the Below Deck captains are currently onboard. This will be a great adventure. Enjoy!😎
  5. You are my soul sister...I have lists, lists and more lists. And my lists have lists!!! Enjoy the cruise.
  6. Travel insurance story since we're on the subject... A friend uses a scooter. While the ship was docked in Bermuda, she somehow got "twisted" trying to get out of the scooter in her cabin and took a tumble. She broke her hip and had to be transported to a Bermuda hospital. In addition to covering all of her costs, her insurance paid for her husband to stay in a hotel while she was well enough to fly home. The total cost was exorbitant; she is lucky she had the insurance.
  7. Thank you for the wonderful review. After sailing on other S and E class ships, we will be sailing on Silhouette for the first time in 2024. Your pictures are gorgeous!
  8. We booked a B2B for April, 2024 about a month ago. Already counting the days 😎.
  9. We have a B2B girls reunion cruise planned for 2024. First time on Silhouette after sailing on both S and E class multiple times. Looking forward to your review. Have a great trip and hope Mom is doing well.
  10. Captain Kate has been on the Beyond since it began sailing; she was previously on Edge. She is on vacation now.
  11. I have mostly sailed Celebrity for the last ten years; however, sailed on Mariner of the Seas this past August. I made the switch because RCCL's itinerary to Bermuda worked best for our group. I would sail RCCL again if the itinerary worked. My next four cruises are Celebrity. While I am not a "foodie", I did find Celebrity's food to be better. Portions on RCCL in the MDR were smaller (which was probably a good thing), but the flavor on some of the classic selections is better IMO on Celebrity. We booked balcony cabins on RCCL and follow suit on Celebrity. The SV is my balcony of choice and I did that on two Edge sailings. I am Elite on Celebrity which transferred to Diamond on RCCL. As a non-drinker, I shared my four daily drink coupons with my family. I love that I now get a free bag of laundry on Celebrity...didn't get that benefit on RCCL.
  12. I’ve done the SV twice on Edge and have a SV booked on an upcoming Apex cruise. The balcony is very spacious…room for two loungers and a table.
  13. I do everything...or nothing. Maybe a little of each. That's the beauty of a seaday. 😉
  14. We were offered a discount for a second dinner in LCG while we were at LCG. Since it's our favorite specialty restaurant, we jumped on it. I believe it was 30% off. That was on Reflection in January.
  15. Too late for our cruise, but great news going forward!
  16. Sue Denning is one of my favorites...I found her personable and very willing to please all passengers... and what a shoe collection!!! We loved Luigi Delmar when we sailed on Edge last September...what a fun guy! I believe he moved to Beyond with Captain Kate. Eddy was our CD a few years ago when I sailed on Edge pre-covid...sorry, was not a fan. My friends told me that his sense of humor is an acquired taste.................
  17. I am typically where the roll call group has decided to meet. Recently, it’s been Sunset Bar at least one hour beforehand to enjoy all the festivities 😎
  18. I can get a fabulous burger close to home…part of the reason I love LCG is the cookie 🍪.
  19. I'll be on Equinox in February...no LCG is a disappointment, but then I will be on Apex in December, 2023, and already have it booked for that cruise. LCG is the only specialty restaurant I book. Enjoy!
  20. Silhouette has LCG...I'm about to book my first night dinner for 2024 and will definitely fit in a sea day lunch. It's that good.
  21. LCG is typically open for lunch on sea days and can be booked once you board the ship.
  22. We recently did the proctored test through Rapid Test and Trace using the free Covid test provided by the government. We paid $20 for the proctor and made the appointment for two days prior to sail date. Using my iPad, the test was easy; the proctor was very helpful as far as following the instructions. Within 15 minutes, she emailed the results. I had the email copied at my hotel so I had a paper copy of the negative result. It is my understanding...and apologies if this is not up to date...that neither CVS nor Walgreens are no longer doing the test for free if it's used for travel. Hope that helps!
