  1. Welcome!!! Is the itinerary the same as what you booked for 4/22? We were also lucky...when we booked, we picked cabins on deck 8, standard verandah mid-ship. When the Black Friday sale started, we were able to move to SVs in the middle of the row and each received $400 OBC as part of the promotion. Win, Win! Join our roll call when you get a chance. Susan
  2. I read about this change here on Cruise Critic last week. We are on the April 8 sailing and see quite a few people who have moved over from 4/22.
  3. We visited Bonnet House before a flight. It is a guided tour of the mansion with lovely gardens. I forget the price. They stored our luggage in their office while we took the tour.
  4. I have done two Edge cruises, both in a SV. I cannot comment on the IV. You don't say in which direction you are sailing. We chose a SV on Solstice a few years back when we sailed from Hawaii to Vancouver. Sailing east, we were able to enjoy beautiful sunsets every night from our balcony. I would never hesitate to book a SV (in fact, have booked SV for upcoming sailings).
  5. Following...and can't wait for the rest. I have sailed twice on Edge and have an Apex sailing booked for December, 2023. I am particularly interested to hear about acupuncture since I've considered it. Sorry you didn't enjoy Rooftop Garden Grill as that is my favorite and the first thing I booked after the cruise.
  6. Bed placement alternates between close to the balcony or bath. I will be in 8344 on Equinox in February which has the bed next to the balcony, which is my preference. The 2 balconies in the center of the row are a bit wider than the others. The rest of the cabin is the same as a standard balcony cabin. You can’t go wrong in any SV 😎. Enjoy! Susan
  7. Thanks to all. I actually forgot about the safe and was going to double back with that question. You answered before I could ask. 😉
  8. Thanks for all the responses...sounds like a seamless move. Susan
  9. Thanks! I'm still confused about the timing. Will he store everything from the first cabin while the 2nd cabin is being serviced? Can I leave the ship and know that my stuff will be moved in my absence...or do I need to stay onboard?
  10. I've booked Silhouette for 2024...originally in the same cabin for both cruises. I was able to switch from my standard verandah to a SV for the second cruise. I've already asked and gotten answers regarding the procedure for the turnaround day when I was staying in the same cabin, but now I'd appreciate information on what happens when I switch cabins. My plan is to complete cruise 1, get off the ship to visit relatives in Ft. Lauderdale for the day, and then get back on the ship. Changing cabins is now the challenge. I presume I need to be out of the original cabin by a certain time (8:30am?), but the cabin steward will still be preparing the SV after the original occupants depart. Since the two cabins are on the same deck, I was hoping to just throw packing cubes into my suitcase and roll them down to the new cabin, closet contents can be moved as is and toiletries re-packed quickly for the move. My question is will I be allowed to put my belongings into the SV while it is being serviced? Thanks!
  11. I will be boarding Equinox in February for a nine night ABC cruise, but we stop in Puerta Plata rather than Grand Cayman. Equinox was my first Celebrity cruise and I’m thrilled to be returning. Thanks for the positive feedback👍
  12. Same problem here! My upcoming cruise is missing along with December, 2023…but 2024 is there! Technology is not my friend…good to know this time it’s not just me!
  13. Well, the heck with the website. My TA was able to contact Celebrity...the move to a SV for a ten-night sailing is $500 more which is okay for my favorite cabin...and $400 OBC...it's a win/win!
  14. ...checking prices to move from a standard verandah to a SV on Silhouette in April 2024...shocking, but the website CRASHED!!!
  15. I'm anxious to hear about this port. My understanding is there is a beautiful resort close to the port. You are able to use the pool and other facilities with no fee...except for purchasing a drink.
  16. If RGG on Beyond mirrors Edge, they should offer lunch on a sea day. I've never been to Eden (sorry, too fancy for this McRib girl), but I am a huge fan of RGG. Just mentioning it in case you need one of those fabulous warm chocolate chip cookies😋 on this trip...and who doesn't!
  17. Love "Below Deck"...love the bag!!! Have a great trip. I still see sunshine on the webcam...hopefully that holds for the next several hours. Susan
  18. The friends that I travel with are adamant they will will never fly AA, but end up booking with them anyway! I pick the carrier with the best time to travel and cost...typically a toss up between AA and UA. My requirements are few...please get both me and my luggage to my destination safely!
  19. I just got in on both my desktop and iPad.
  20. Darn airline delays!!! We are scheduled for a flight pre-Equinox cruise in February...original departure from ORD is 6:50am with arrival in FLL at 10:48am. I got a notice a couple of days ago that we are now scheduled to depart at 10am with arrival at 2:12pm. Fortunately, we fly two days ahead of the cruise; but it's still a major annoyance! Seems to be happening more and more lately. Hopefully, that's the last challenge you face before boarding Beyond. Susan
  21. We prefer Gallery One Double Tree Suites on Sunrise Boulevard. It’s close to the beach, next door to the Galleria Mall. There is a water taxi stop at the hotel. We’ll be there for two nights before our February Equinox cruise!
