  1. Any chance you are at a hotel with self serve (coin operated) laundry facility? That would be more cost effective and you can control water temp, etc.
  2. We ate at Cooper's Hawk in Downer's Grove last week...GREAT burger. Sorry, off topic!
  3. We flew Singapore Air from LAX to Singapore years ago. Agree that the service to Singapore was the best ever; however, the return flight was not up to the original standard. Washrooms were not serviced at all during the long flight back to LAX, food was bad and the overall attitude of the flight attendants lacking. It was as if they wanted to give us 150% going into their country, but less than 50% when leaving.
  4. All the pictures see are right side up…so far, so good. Looking forward to more!
  5. As someone who is the opposite end of a foodie, I am always going to order from the classic menu (unless I go to the OV). I usually alternate between the steak and chicken. Fortunately, I love chicken in case the steak is not offered.
  6. I typically use Kohl's as a drop off for Amazon returns. Recently, that was not an option and I went to Whole Foods. Next time I was in Kohl's, I asked why they weren't always listed as an option and was told that the seller can dictate who they want to handle the return. Just an FYI!
  7. Winter in Illinois is exactly why we sail to the Caribbean in February!!!
  8. My first SV was 8344 on Solstice…as it has been mentioned, wider than most other aft balconies on that deck because of steward closet. On a ten night sailing, I never heard any noise…either from the closet door opening or the cart and/or vacuum being moved. I have since sailed in SVs on Reflection and Edge with SVs booked on Equinox, Silhouette and Apex. There is nothing like the wake view.
  9. I’ll be sailing on Equinox in February…Third sailing on her. Thanks for creating even more enthusiasm! CANNOT WAIT……😎
  10. I have never sailed in Australia, but have twice sailed in a SV on the Edge. Regardless of itinerary, I wouldn’t hesitate to book a SV again.
  11. Sounds wonderful. I have Apex booked for December, 2023...will look forward to ready your review (if you do one) on that ship. Till then, it's Equinox in February. Just can't get enough cruising!!! BTW, I misread your first post...I see that you've already sailed on Silhouette. Glad you had a great time after the initial stress.
  12. Travel stress is real. No matter how much planning you do, you (at least me) always worry that something can throw your plan out of whack! Until recently, it was the dreaded pre-cruise covid test. Two of the three tests I needed to take could be completed before flying to Ft. Lauderdale, but when the timeframe changed and I needed to do it once I got to Cape Canaveral, I was a WRECK. And that test was done with a proctor service rather than face to face at CVS. So happy that requirement is off the table. You can now sit back, relax and enjoy. I'd love to hear about Silhouette...have never travelled on that ship but have a B2B booked for April, 2024. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
  13. I get my info from cruisedeckplans.com And as someone pointed out to me, it is an IV so no traditional balcony. Enjoy!
  14. I looked at the Beyond layout on deckplans.com
  15. Next to the balcony...I responded on the other thread that you started.
  16. Your bed will be next to the balcony.
  17. Well, you have close to a year and a half to make it happen!!!
  18. We did St. Lucia recently on Reflection. We have not yet decided what to do on this coming trip, but it will likely be a relaxing beach day.
  19. This will be part 2 of a B2B. We are sailing with friends on part 1 so are staying mid-ship on deck 8,; but for part 2, we will be in 8348 and 8355. If you are celebrating your granddaughter's birthday a week early, she can be totally surprised...and embarrassed!!! Lucky girl to celebrate her birthday on a cruise.
