Room Service cravings?

Ok, my other thread dealt with favorites in the main dining room. First time cruiser here, and vacatiion memories for me are always linked to the flavors of the experience. Ive gotten lots of great entree suggestions from the group, my question now is "whats your favorite room service treat?":D

I really like the BLT's. They have a shrimp salad sandwich that I think is ok, DW didn't like the taste though. I ordered room service for breakfast and got my BLT's and shrimp salad sandwich since that's the only time I could "fit it in"! :D

I also ordered a grilled cheese on the Miracle. It tasted fine but was pretty much cooled off by the time I got it so I'll just stick to my 2 faves.

I always try to order the tuna salad (with a side of potato chips) at least once on each cruise - like a 'comfort food' for me :D.....and sometimes before dinner I will order the veggies and dip (so I won't be drinking on an empty stomach!)....but of course I may have already had my sushi snack so not that hungry?

I hear the desserts are good (altho I have never ordered this thru room service) and I would like to try the blt or steak sandwich as others rave about them - but not always that hungry!

I do use the 'breakfast' room service card often (usually for those early morning port days) and LOVE my smoked salmon and bagel......

I love the pbj but here's a warning it's toasted and warm! :) We use room service when coming back on the ship from a port as the lines on the lido deck can be long. ;) We order, one of us takes a shower and it's usually delivered while the other one is in the shower. There have been times where we split something so not to ruin dinner but to tide us over. :p We like using roomservice the 1st night on the 2nd half of a B2B as the MDR can be both hectic and slow the first night of a cruise. It's really the only night we use it for dinner but I do love my breakfast on the balcony! :D

OMG - Thank you I did not know this. What are things are NOT included in the tip pre pay?

The standard tips cover your room steward(s) and the MDR waiter(s) and Lido. The things everybody uses during a cruise.

Extra service usually gets extra tips.

For room service, maybe a buck or two, or perhaps more, depending on how much stuff you order.

Gamblers might tip dealers in the casino.

People who have spa treatments might tip for those.

I have never been able to eat much of a breakfast, so I really like the room service for breakfast, a croissant, or a toasted bagle and cream cheese, and coffee of course! Then I can relax in my room a little longer in the morning. I have never used room service for anything else, but I plan to try the Blt or the Steak and Brie next cruise! Especially when I cruise alone, it is a nice option. :)

I like to get a cabin on the Lido deck and grab food to bring back to my cabin rather than ordering room service. Even if I want a sandwich, I think the ones you get from the deli are better than from room service. Also, you can swing by the grill and get fries to go with them...

Can someone explain the New York Deli to me? What types of sandwiches do they have?

But have no illusions about them actually being like sandwiches you would get from a real NY deli. They're not. More over, there is no Italian on the menu. And they're very, very small. HOW CAN IT BE A NY DELI IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PROVOLONE CHEESE, CARNIVAL?!
