denice, it's been a great week virtually cruising with you, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. i'm sorry that many of us were hope wishing the time away so that our cruises will be here soon! I'll be on FOS in 5 weeks and Oasis in 13. I'm more excited now after reading all of your wonderful posts!

We can only wish that a ship like the Oasis or Freedom would come to Bayonne!!!!

 

Scuttlebutt about a lot of the crew members on board Explorer this month (6/24-7/3 sail) and the Captain made mention as well that Freedom will be coming up to us in Bayonne!! [2012] I hope they're right!

Hi there, I really enjoyed you bring us all on this cruise with you, I am sad it has to end for you and what will I do after tomorrow, no posts to read, lol

 

I have a question, when you get the time no rush, for I do not sail on her until Oct. It is a stupid and maybe a embarrassing question, but I had to wait until the end of the cruise to ask when you got you finally on board bill. I know you have been drinking virgin drinks so they would be about half the price of the regular ones, I do know what the prices are for drinks already, but you also had a lot of coffee and went to the candy shop and those cupcakes (how many?) lol

I just wanted to know if you ended up having a big bill at the end since alot of the things to eat there was a charge for? Or did it average out about the same from other cruises.

 

I drink a few beers and champange, not to much through out a week, hubby drink frozen rum runners not to many, one a day if he is lucky. I already paid for my soda card and water card and shows and specialty dinners. So that will not be added on to the bill on board. I just really need to know how much more money this will cost me to eat here and there for the 7 days. I only have a certain amount left on my credit card and am trying not to go over while on board. I would be embarrassed to be called down to the front desk to have them tell me give me another credit card, which of course I will have on me, but am trying to budget things. I am also taking me Grandson on the Explorer in Sept. so that is why I have to watch what I spend on the both since they are so close, GS might use all my credit up in the game room, lol

 

So anything you can tell me to help me out would be great, again no rush.

 

Can not wait for all the pictures of yours, safe travels home.

Again, I want to THANK YOU for taking all of us on your vacation. Boy, did you light the fire beneath me to get me going with final plans for our Oasis cruise in October. Hotels pre and post are now booked! My Southwest rapid rewards flights were book but, then I decided I did not want to get there so late the night before that I canceled my free flight to FLL and booked a red eye flight on Delta so I could get to FLL @ 9 am the day before the cruise! What a fast week this has been.

Its 08:50am here in Middle England (04:50am in Florida) and as I sit here watching for Oasis to sail back into PE, I feel quite sad that your fabulous "Live From Oasis" posts will be finishing...........

 

I have thoroughly enjoyed 'virtually cruising' with you this week and you have certainly re-ignighted my Oasis excitement. It has been fun being reminded of all those special places we also found on our Oasis cruise in April.

Good morning, STILL......LIVE FROM THE OASIS!!!

 

 

So so sad. I can't believe it is over, yet it really seemed like we were on longer than a week. It has an amazing amazing week on an incredible ship!!

 

We brought breakfast down from the Windjammer, and are now sitting in the "holding area" for platinum, diamond and diamond plus...Opus dining room, deck 3. Here there are just pastries and coffee and orange juice. Deck 4 and Windjammer have extended menu. Dining room on 5 may too. Didn't check.

 

I will get to your posts in the next post, but want to update you on yesterday. It was a more mello night, but that was ok too. Dinner in MDR was good. The pineapple raspberry soup was sooooooooooo yummy. I love the cold soups on the ship!!

 

I did make it to Bingo...lost.....but it was fun. The winner of the cover all got over $6,500!!

 

After dinner we roamed quite a bit, everyone seemed to be what everyone was doing! The promenade was very active and sat and had a cupcake....they really are good!!!...and people watched and chatted with people. We donated to the casino again, and was in the room soooo early....11am!! Went to sleep about midnight and had a 5am wakeup call. We were down here at 6am.

It is 7am and they started calling numbers (nice and early!!!). Since we don't have a train till noon, we will sit as long as we can here.

 

 

Anyway, before I answer posts I have to say a few words and hope I don't cry...oops...too late. It has been such a pleasure to post LIVE from this wonderful cruise to people that have been so sweet and friendly and supportive and feel more like friends at this point. You didn't just see the "cruise"...you also saw "me" and I thank each and every one of you for the sweetest posts!! It was a honor to share all of my experiences with everyone of you. I know by how many views there are on this thread that there were many lurkers, and I thank all of you for tagging along too. Posts were not necessary...I knew you were there!!;) Thank you for ignoring the spelling errors.

 

I do have final words, but I need to be home at my computer with spell check and a more relaxed setting. I will write a review, though not so conventional. I need time to compose my thoughts. I will be posting pictures with comments also. I need time to get organized at home...I have a longgggggg train ride home, so I will probably post Monday, but more than likely Tuesday. I will start a new thread to do that, but will check this thread in the meantime for additional posts and questions. If anyone wants to email me, please do so at dzboss1@windstream.net. You already know my review will have no negatives..not even the 50 mile an hour winds down, and the torrential rains while there. The cruise was OUTSTANDING!! I hope to have a cruise booked before the review too!!

Allison, Loved your pics of your 5th anniversary Liberty Of The Seas cruise. Its so much fun to cruise with good friends. We did it for years . I use this site to gain information and balance on any cruise I am interested in I do not give to much attention to overly positive or negative posts and somehow you trancended this to a different place.. To me your cruise on Oasis was like watching a child on christmas morning when they first look under the tree and see all their presents and see all the excitement on their faces. That is the way I looked at you this past week, total joy, excitement and whimsy and it was catching.

 

I have always enjoyed every cruise I have been on and always have a great time and tend never to sweat the small stuff. I think it would be nice to lose yourself in the moment and just let yourself go and maybe just maybe I will do that when I am on Oasis in 3 months. Want to come along Denice to make sure I do that:-)

Ok, I first have to share with my "friends" that when I talked to my daughter this morning she told me she has on hold......Oasis, Dec 10, 2011. Her birthday is the 12/16 and that is where she wants to be! She and I would have a great time!!! Before we book it, I have to check out the room she holding, where it is etc. Haven't done that yet, but by Tomorrow (who am I kidding, within the next few hours) I am sure that cruise will be booked. I will keep you all "posted".
