Bon Voyage Bazzaw

We have never been on a ship before where

the Captain presented an hour long lecture for the entertainment of the

passengers - and he obviously enjoyed the experience as much as we did.

I liked this comment from the blog.

one of the things that makes a WC , or part thereof, really special , and so wonderful.

I am really enjoying reading Barrys blog.

His personality is coming out,

and it is such a thrill to share his adventures , as both he and Christine discover the delights, and short comings , of cruising on the wonderful Oriana , and with P&O UK.

I await with great interest , how he compares Oriana with Arcadia on the return voyage.

From the webcam looks like they are in LeamChabang today for Bangkok.

Heres a shot of the terminal there. ...the only building amongst a sea of containers and cranes.

Taken from the back deck of Diamond Princess last year.

Barry has updated his blog for Saigon.

Heres an interesting article about Oriana.

From Nov 2011 she will be an adult only ship....

as in...No kids.

Oriana will make a very good child free ship, hardly noticed the few on our 2 cruises on her, perhaps they will do something good with the kids play areas at the back of leading out to the pool where they have the crossing the equator ceremonies, which is usually only for families. Now if we could just have it sent out to Oz.

They are in Kelang today for Kuala Lumpar, deckhands sorting out the flags this morning.

Barry Bazzaw is doing a great job with his blog on Oriana - what a ball !

But I would like to see him post a little more about shipboard life, food, activities, types of BEER on board, etc!

OI Bazzaw, are you reading this? Keep on enjoying your adventure old son.

Yes Barry is confined to Cabin, he broke the golden rule, don't eat ashore, particularly in Asia. We never do. You might be clean yourself but guess what they wash the salad and veggies in, even at good hotels - local water. And who knows the hygiene standards of the kitchen staff/servers? Only them, not us !

I have sent him a comment on his blog..to get well.

Get well quick quick Barry or you will miss those ports coming up.

Thank you Bazzaw for your great blog, photos and info have been an avid follower of the blog, Looks like you may get a white Christmas whoa. Who is Captain of Oriana at the moment? We have been on her twice and think she is a great ship, very well laid out and never feels crowded. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to read the blog of your return trip on Arcadia.

Merry Christmas,

Sheila
