B2B cruise and fun pass

For those who have done a B2B.......do you need to print out the fun pass for the second week? I know you need the fun pass for the first week to board, but since you are escorted off and back on at the end of the first cruise, do you need the second fun pass?

Question are b2b that popular. I keep reading on here about them do you get a deal when you book b2b

No, you don't get a deal. Each cruise is booked individually. Some on here have reported getting chocolate covered strawberries or some other gift on the second leg; I did not. One thing you can do is buy alcohol on the last night of the first leg. You can take it to your room and have it for the second leg! I did a 4 night-5 night B2B. I chose to do this because my family wanted to do the 5 night, and I prefer to do cruises of 7 days. I added the 4 night so I could be on the ship that much longer, and it got me to platinum a tad bit quicker.

OP, I'd print it. I didn't need it, but you know if I hadn't printed it they would have wanted to see it :)

I thought I read recently that they are no longer making you go through customs after the first cruise - just get your new S & S card and that's it. Does anyone have any recent experience with this?

You don't have to go through customs, but you do have to get off the ship so that they can zero it down, and go through immigration. Then you can get right back on. EM

On European cruises you don't have to leave the ship, but that is because of the EU or in one case that I recall, Great Britain sent on immigration people in Spain (maybe Portugal) before the ship ported in Dover.

We did a b2b3b from Italy to Russia and back to England without ever having to leave the ship (although we did).

No discount, but if you fly that far, one cruise is never enough. :)

We got an information to wait at a certain place and then we were brought in a group off the ship through the customs, waiting approx. 10 min. and back to the ship. We were brought into Amber Palace where the new check-in was handled. I forgot to take the fun pass and it was okay. But they prefer to see the fun pass. We had a bottle of champagne and fruits in our stateroom in the afternoon.

immigration = customs

Iv gone thru customs both times on Carnival. Where did you get the info that its not required on any Carnival cruise that you can state that its never required.

Seems to vary by ship. Once we got our cards issued in the atrium by the purser's desk, but they still escorted us thru customs to turn in the form and back on the ship. We just handed the form to the guy. No luggage so nothing for him to check.

That's clever!

We doing our first B2B this coming Feb/March so I am anxious to see what we will have to do.

As for the liquor, I read that some people were able to get away with it and others had their liquor saved until the end of the second leg. I guess I will find out how this works for us too.

buy it the last night of the first cruise and take it back to your cabin. there is a small chance that they may run out of some items before then.

In Ft. Lauderdale two weeks ago I needed ours. Carnival had us as regular boarding instead of back to back. They found our S & S cards quickly and on our way we went. I would suggest taking credit card for new deposit as well as passports.

Good question! I'll be printing off both when we do a B2B on the Splendor in Feb. Better safe than sorry! :)

I'm interested in doing this. Did you book on your own or use a PVP or TA?

Thanks in advance. Happy cruising in Feb. :)

I asked my PVP if I needed the second Fun Pass, and he said no. After reading this thread, I think I'll print it just in case. Better to be safe than sorry.

Ask your PVP how many B2Bs they have been on. If nothing else, it has to be helpfull for them to have you fill out the info online. Its much more work for people who show up at the port and dont have boarding passes. .. but you dont have to do them ahead of time even if you dont do a B2b .. but people do it to expedite check in.

Is it required to check in, no. Never is required, not even on a cruise that isnt a B2B.

We print it -- no harm. We took 4 bottles of wine on the first leg and had the paperwork in case we needed it. (we didn't)

We've done two B2B (the last three weeks ago) -- both times we were not required to exit the ship. We just needed to report to the showroom with the non-U.S. citizens. We presented our passports to the customs officials and he checked us off the list.

We're doing a B2B in a few days and plan on bringing both boarding(Fun) passes just in case.

We've only done one in the past and I don't believe we needed the second one but why risk it? Also, on that previous one, we were not required to go through customs or even leave the ship. Just had to report to the lobby to get our new fun passes. That was in San Diego. Perhaps, it varies by port.

In any case, they know you're doing a B2B and make sure you're taken care of.

We have B2B in 6 weeks and I was wondering about being able to bring on 4 bottles of wine. Am I understanding that you did this and had the paperwork in hand to prove you were going on B2B? And which port was this?

Thank you for your help!:)
