Hair dryer

First time cruiser here :p. Questions for all you experienced cruisers...

 

Freedom of the Seas: are there hair dryers in the rooms and if so, are they any good or should I bring my own?

 

Casino-do I need to bring cash to play with or do I put it on my card?

Hair Dryer.. they are provided in each cabin. My hair is thin so it drys easily. If I had thick hair I probably would wish I had my own hair dryer.

 

Casino: You can use cash or have $$$$$ put on your sign and sail card.

They are no good...don't BLOW hard at all.....so I always bring my own! It's not the heat, but the blowing action that makes your hair look good!!!!! They are the snub-nosed hotel style dryers.

I have thick hair and have never had an issue with the provided dryers. I do spend a lot of time in hotels and have never had a problem with those dryers either (one less item to pack). For the casino, you will need cash. You can get cash on your seapass card to use BUT you will be charged a 3% fee to do so.

I agree totally. I have thick hair and the dryers work fine for me. My daughter refuses to travel w/o her dryer. Everyone's different. I also use my cash in the casino. You can put it straight into the machines if you're playing slotes and it gives you X amount of credit on the machine. At the end, if you're lucky, you hit cash out and it gives you money/coins. That, however, has never happened to me (LOL).

I am in the camp that thinks the hair dryers are fine. Just one less thing for me to pack. You can use your card in the casino but you will be charged a fee so cash is better.
