This was posted by James van Fleet on Twitter today. Looks like Captain Graucob was still on board at least as of today.

I have somewhere around 8-19-18 as a rotation date

 

This will be the last contract for Capt Per Kristoffersen on Oasis. He just announced that he will be going to Majesty after his vacation.

 

Does anyone have any insight as to the story behind the Captain going from the largest to the smallest ship in the fleet? :confused:

He said at the Captains Corner that he never been to Cuba so when offered it he took it. By the way Empress OTS is the smallest ship in The fleet.

Captain Marek is Barcelona bound to board Vision tomorrow.

Hoping Captain Marek will be on Vision for October 5th Med/Greek Isles and then the Transatlantic on October 18th. Does anyone know about this?

It is not about size of the ship. Doing the same 7 day east and west again is not very exciting after many years, even with the biggest ship in the world. Most Captains prefer smaller ships with more interesting itineraries. Many did Oasis class once for some years and never again. Many went back to Radiance class because they are fast and fun to drive. Captain Johnny is one of the few exceptions.

Captain Marek will be on Vision for 10 weeks starting tomorrow, then 10 weeks off.

I agree he deserves a bigger ship but I hope he does not get it until after we get a chance to sail with him on the Vision again. If the rotations stay normal we will see him in January out of NOLA.

I stand corrected. Now that they have brought The Empress back, once again she is the smallest! Many have now visited Cuba and we are not addressing any cruises going there.

I am going on the jewel of the seas on August 5th and saw the captain was Dustin Castelsky. Does anyone know how is as a captain? Thanks

 

We had Captain Dustin on our JW B2B including the TA in May. You could find him out and about the ship and outside at the bottom of the gangway in Ports wishing you a good day! The entire crew on the JW were fantastic, which is usually a reflection of the Captain and top officers! We would be happy to sail with Capt. Dustin anytime!

since it was time for rotation I've changed the date to 8-5-18, Capt Espen could have gotten off when you got off.

 

Oops, I thought you needed the exact dates captains begin - that's the only reason I commented. He may very well have left the ship 8/5/18.
