Fare adjustment for partial itinerary?

If you board part way through the itinerary, or leave before the cruise is over, I know you need a waiver. Does the cruise line adjust the fare?

Except for some really unique circumstances, the answer will be a definite "the fare will not be reduced". In fact, depending where you get on or off, it is possible that the cruise line may actually charge you extra for the privilege of your doing so at a non-planned port.

They'd be more likely to tack on a surcharge rather than discount the cruise for you. The cruise lines are heavily dependent on revenue generated from people spending money while on board the ship. If somebody only takes a partial cruise the cruise line likely will take in less revenue than if somebody was occupying that stateroom for the entire cruise. That said they will not tack on a surcharge, but they definitely will not discount the cruise for you.
