Thank you for helping me relive our Aug 27 cruise on the Zuiderdam. We were lucky enough to have had smooth sailing.

We also took the train ride and it was a highlight of the trip, along with Glacier Bay.

We also had a blast on the cruise. As LVSue said you should have see the Appetizers flying everywhere in the Crow's Nest. And passengers literally being poured into and out of the elevators as we were all trying to escape to the security of lowere decks (read our staterooms.) LOL

 

Miserable weather for sure, but a beautiful cruise still:)

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed report, with such great photos! I will be visiting Alaska for the first time in May on the Westerdam, and your photos have "vindicated" my decision to book an aft verandah for this trip. We will be on deck 5, which I understand is covered, so my camera, my zoom lens, my tripod and I will be out there a lot - rain or shine!
