Miss Melly Posted February 5 #1578 Share Posted February 5 What about Enchanted? Looks like there is still a lounge NEAR the casino. What about outdoors on the decks?
1498sg Posted February 5 #1579 Share Posted February 5 We got off the enchanted end of December. They were closing the cigar lounge after that cruise turning it into a arcade outside smoking is in the aft, one flight above Lido.

We thought it was odd to have the smoke rising up to where the kid's area was.

When we were on NCL Epic last October in the Med, they established a second smoking area on D15 by the main pool, it was quickly mobbed, and they expanded it at least three times to keep everybody happy. The coughers/arm wavers had plenty of room to pass by on the other side of the pool. Edited February 7 by jsn55

Really prevalent on the deck 7 aft starboard smoking knoll, where the joggers and speedwalkers pass through and "tsk...tsk" and guffaw as if smoking shouldn't be happening, in one of the very few sanctioned areas of the ship.

I think the agent is reading from an outdated FAQ sheet. Back in the beginning of time (2004), on the Caribbean Princess, they had standing ashtrays at the elevators, on every floor. It wasn't uncommon to walk past a cabin where smoking was allowed, and it was permeating the hallway. On deck 15, by the pools, smoking was allowed on one side of the deck, with non smoking on the other side. To that degree, things have improved. Wow, I’m surprised they were allowing smoking in cabins that late! Google tells me they didn’t ban smoking in all cabins and balconies until 2012. I think most people wonder why the smoking area is located in the path of the jogging track. It seems like an odd choice on Princess’ part.

Since I'm a very fast walker and walk early in the morning I hardly even notice the smoke or smell. Edited February 9 by doghog

On the older ships prior to 2000 or so most ships had a jogging track up on the sun deck which meant joggers could avoid the smoke
