margord Posted June 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Help, we are now Elite and I cannot find the part where I can request what I would prefer for the mini bar set up. Can someone please direct me to where I should look on the Princess website. Thanks
chrysalis Posted June 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Don't waste your time...they do not pay attention to it anyways, and will deliver you the standard selection. Call room service to get it switched out.

Can someone please direct me to where I should look on the Princess website. Thanks No matter what you request you will receive the standard setup. As stated, call room service to switch. Be advised though, that you cannot switch sodas or water for booze. You can however switch water and anything else for soda.
paul929207 Posted June 3, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 3, 2012 You can request anything you want, as long as it is the standard setup. Once onboard, call room service and ask to swap. They usually come pretty quickly.
cflutist Posted June 3, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 3, 2012 On our recent Island Princess sailing, they had Canadian Whiskey instead of Scotch. As others have said, we just called room service and they swapped it out for us. It is stocked with 2 bottles of everything to start. See attachment. Ethel5 Posted June 6, 2012 #13 Share Posted June 6, 2012 I call after boarding and switch everything to cans of Sprite Zero. They'll be there within minutes of calling. Question...Is it a one to one switch or do you get more soda for the liquor?
Pia1913 Posted June 6, 2012 #14 Share Posted June 6, 2012 Question...Is it a one to one switch or do you get more soda for the liquor? One to one,Donna. Liquor gets you water, but water doesn't get you beer. Liquor gets you soda, but only one to one. They don't do monetary exchanges.
paul929207 Posted June 6, 2012 #15 Share Posted June 6, 2012 Question...Is it a one to one switch or do you get more soda for the liquor? It is 1 for 1. If you trade the mini bottles for soda, you just get 8 sodas.
jtfnow Posted August 14, 2016 #16 Share Posted August 14, 2016 If you are in a suite and are elite you get a double set up. Cool! At the risk of sounding greedy, we are both Elite and have booked a suite. Does that mean THREE mini-bar setups?
Rare Cruise Raider Posted August 14, 2016 #17 Share Posted August 14, 2016 Cool! At the risk of sounding greedy, we are both Elite and have booked a suite. Does that mean THREE mini-bar setups? No, two elite passengers still only get one bar set up ... The suite will get you one more but that is the limit. PS -- if you call on the very first day, they might be right there but I have had them ask if they could bring it a bit later, a couple of times, even the next day. No problem for us ... turn around day is horrendous for the crew.

It would be nice, but the Elite benefit and the Suite benefit are each one per cabin, so just two for you.

mmckm Posted August 14, 2016 #20 Share Posted August 14, 2016 That is new I always ask if they have Canadian Club and have always been told no. We would switch out the whole for CC, if we could instead its vodka.
shellbeachjim Posted August 14, 2016 #21 Share Posted August 14, 2016 No one has mentioned...you can also switch the whole thing for 2 coffee cards. :) Actually it would be 4 coffee cards if you swap out both setups. Just call room service and they'll take care of it.
satxdiver Posted August 14, 2016 #22 Share Posted August 14, 2016 We always switch ours out for our preferred adult beverages and soft drinks. We call soon after boarding and have always received the exchange sometime in the evening. They are very busy so there may be a wait.
gooch47 Posted August 14, 2016 #23 Share Posted August 14, 2016 I always tell them, "no hurry." They seem to appreciate that.
EightFurryPaws Posted August 14, 2016 #24 Share Posted August 14, 2016 Last month on the Royal, we switched the mini bar for 10 Coors Lights and 10 Diet Cokes. 20 items are included in the mini bar, they said we can get 20 items of what we would like. Liquor for Beers, others for Cokes. We were on for 3 weeks and on the first turn around day we just asked for the same items to be delivered each week. No problem.
