June is "busting out all over" as the saying goes

Hope you aren't and you can still touch your toes

 

In summer is it easier or harder for you to lose weight

Can you you keep your exercise and your food straight

 

Think it's easier to drink your water when it's warm

But do you have more drinks with sugar that do harm

 

Know we're all young at heart in here

But does it get harder as we get older my sweet dears

 

I think it's harder no matter the age... short or tall

Only thing.. the men seem to lose a little faster..right men..your call

 

Well we have months of summer to enjoy day by day

Hope we all can exercise, eat and drink the right way

Good Morning All!

 

Belle ~ love the summer poem......so glad the warm weather is here! :D Hope things are going better for your husband.

 

My results for this week......

I am down 2.4 pounds from last Thursday.

That means I have lost 8.0 pounds toward the 8 in 8 Challenge. Now I am going to work on trying to double that before the challenge is over....gonna shoot for 16 in 8!

My total loss is 61.6 pounds. :)

wow--way to go Jen--what's your secret??? I'm the same, which is great considering the week I have had. Been super busy and no gym time.

Belle--hope things are good with you.

Have a great week everyone--going to be hot here in Iowa--maybe I'll sweat a few pounds off!!

Hello Everyone,

 

Jen, good going. I am sadly up 1 lb. total for the challenge so far, not good!

 

I gained 1 lb. this week. Oh dear I have 12 weeks until my next cruise, must lose something.

Well I am the same as well. 156:(

At least all of the good fruits are in season. Maybe that's my problem. Love summertime fruit.

Could also be the rum cream I just discovered. Way too yummy to be low cal.:D

Nice summer ditty there Belle.:D

 

I think I lost weight but can't really tell since I weighed with clothes on (unusual),

circulation stockings & who knows how many staples in my knee?!:eek:

I'm doing my exercises religiously 3 times a day & not loving it!

I don't know if work is good for me or not!!! I love it, but am on a crash course of learning everything about fire suppression - so it's loooong days, only a few hours of sleep between projects. Between being ragged out and way under on calories - was at 186 this morning a new low for me (2:00AM - before I left after 4 hours sleep).

 

Lot's of hustling, packing my food but only 800-1200 calories/day for the past week - water is OK.

 

Tired but stoked, way to go Jen!

forbjz..No gain is good still. Fruits are good but

do have sugar..but better than candy! Can't be

the rum cream? lol

 

Jo..How is your knee? Getting better each day?

Really glad you enjoyed your vacation.

 

Shootr..Work is good only that your to busy to eat!

Hi Belle - Glad you husband is doing ok --- I'm not weighing myself for awhile. My MIL went from assisted living to hospital to rehab to assisted living .. now they don't think they can keep her in assisted living anymore - its a total mess here - more than we should have to handle all by ourselves --- I guess the Lord doesn't give us more than we can handle --- but right now I wish He would just give this mess to someone else!

 

I plan on giving this lack of motivation one more week -- then I need to get back into being healthy again. Jan

I HEAR YOU! To much to deal with!

My mother is getting worse and

husband with his problems.

Like you, (doing it all ) I'm an only child

and I'm the only wife. So I just have

to do it. You should see my house..a

big mess, after dealing .I.just relax and

(eat) and don't clean! LOL

 

Jan I hope you find a nice place for her

and let you get a little peace. Sorry you

have to deal with everything.

is doing good and driving. Mine has alt (can't spell

at this moment) memory loss big time plus

heart problems. Over five years.

 

Now that I've been talking a downer...Will say something

Belle and Jan,

 

Sorry to hear of your elderly parental woes. I've been there. Dad had Alzheimer's, awful disease, what a horrible time. He passed away 3 years ago.

 

Mom is still going strong at 85 but who knows how long that will last.

 

Belle, you asked where my next cruise is. In September I turn 50 and we're going to do a Western Carribean cruise.

 

Usually we would go somewhere more exciting but hubby is still recovering from his sprained

ankle on our last cruise in March and my employer sold off 2 of our affiliates so I don't know of I'll still have a job in September. Decided to not spend too much money.

 

I've been eating better the past few days. How is everyone else doing?

Sept. too! Great People! LOL

 

Sorry loss of your father, mine in 2008 with cancer.

Hope your mother stays well for a very long time.

 

Yes double wammy here, mother with Alzheimer's

(never can spell it) and husband has memory loss from

illness's.

 

Glad you have a cruise planned but sorry about your job.

Hope you don't liose it. To me every cruise is a good

cruise no matter where you go.

 

I still wamt another one to to get away with my

husband while he can but who knows. Been lucky we've

taken quite a few in the last few years.

 

Great your trying to eat better..I'm trying too. Plus

trying to drink more water.
