Hi Radio - thanks for the always-wonderful posts. We sail on you return day, Aug 9, so leave her in good shape! :-)

Is the crowd in the theater as others have reported - no seats unless you are there an hour ahead of time?

Thanks!

Update on "Coffegate

I was informed this morning from our lovely Concierge that workers were unable to repair the "expensive" Concierge Coffee machine in Boston or Baltimore. . .

She suggested that the machine may need to be replaced

No worries. . . The Starbucks Coffee at Cafe Latte-tudes is wonderful ;)

More pics later. . .

Uh oh! Hopefully, they fix it before we board! We will be getting on when you are getting off :)

Good Morning everyone. . . Welcome to Day 2 of “LIVE” on Enchantment of the Seas.

Ahhh. . .I slept like a baby last night, but I am up this morning at the crack of civilization to have a fun day.

The Viking Crown Lounge was very slow last night as I made my evening post, and it is extremely quiet today as I sit in the Radio “press room”. This morning I made my way up to the Concierge Lounge for a nice Café Americano. . .but there was a slight problem. The coffee machine was Out of Order ! What the? Who in the? No worries. . .Mrs. Radio was nice enough to pack some Starbucks Via (Veranda Blonde) in my luggage which came in very handy this morning. I am confident that the Coffee machine will be fixed very soon.

Mrs. Radio to the rescue. I'd say this gives her super hero status. She saved the day!

Radio - thank you for all of your posts with pictures and information - we are on the cruise right after yours.....so take good care of her for us!!!

The new coffee machines seem to be a problem for RCCL. We were on the Radiance in April / May and the machine was always breaking. The staff was unable to fix it until we got into port in Hawaii. They had parts and a service technician come on board to fix it........but it was still temperamental for the next 12 days to Vancouver. The concierge stated that the old machines were better made and that the staff could fix them but not these. Something about voiding the warranty if RCCL worked on them.

Hello everyone. . . Enchantment of the Seas is sailing through moderate seas as we went through a few storms. It rained a little heavy for just a few minutes and then the sun came out strong.

Captain Gus has suggested that we may experience this throughout the day. . .Not sunny skies all day, but not rain all day either. We had a little thunder and a little lightning, but overall the weather has been warm. We still have about 400nm miles to go before we arrive.

I have reserved a scooter for travel while in Bermuda at Oleanders (in Kings Wharf) and I hope that the forecast for sunny skies on Monday is correct as I would like to see some of the sights I wasn’t able to view last time. I am thinking of taking the SeaEscape Ferry over to St Georges, and work my way back to the Dockyard.

Little Rody really loves the water ! We can’t keep him out of the water, but we were able to take him for a walk around the Promenade deck down on Deck 5. He is in love with this ship, and has been very happy and a lot of fun !

Here are a few pics from this morning, and I think it might be time 3 things. . . Lunch, watching the news, and Casino Royale. . .

So...that roulette thing looks interesting....have you tried it??? Never saw anything like that before...perhaps I shall have to see if such a thing is available in Atlantic City or one of the Philly suburban casinos.....

Was the Bermuda port talk worth it? I would love to learn more about Bermuda but typically these are just about the shopping experience...I will take a pass if that is the case!

Cannot wait to board the Explorer to Bermuda in 49 days! Thanks so much for another great review!

Hello Radio,

thanks for the great "up to the minute" cruise reports! Curious about the Seascape Ferry getting over to St. Georges. That is what I would like to do but sure where you pick it up. Thinking of possibly doing that when we dock at 3pm the first day. In your opinion is that doable? How long do the shops/restaurants in St. George stay open at night. We will dock first day on a Sunday... Thanks for any suggestions you might have for me. Also, scooter rentals??? Safe? Not sure I would do that on a holiday weekend...might be too busy for me and chaotic! Thoughts anyone?

Have a Great Time!

Thanks for your live report Radio!

I do hope you get over to St. Georges. I love it there.

We bought the bus/ferry pass when we did our Bermuda cruise and it was well worth it. Love those ferries too!

Enjoy your cruise!

Be aware that the ferry to St. George's from the Dockyard does not run on weekends. We will be there on Sat. snd Sun. so we can't use the ferry to get there and would have to ride the ferry to Hamilton and the bus to St. George's. That makes for a trip of close to 2 hours each way so we will not be going there this time.

I would not recommend renting a scooter unless you are used to driving one. The roads are narrow and hilly with lots of traffic and they drive on the left side of the road. When we were there in 1980 we rented a scooter and it was a little scary even then. The cruiselines discourage pax from renting them because there have been so many bad experiences. I DO recommend the bus/ferry pass though. It is a great way to get around Bermuda.

Love your reviews!

FYI, just read on the Bermuda board you can get day pass at the Cocoa Reef Resort(Coco Reef is next to Elbow Beach).

They said it was $50 per person, and included use of their pool, beach, chairs, and umbrellas (first come first serve). You also got a wonderful lunch and drink served on the terrace.

Have a great trip!

In reading this I have to wonder if you are talking about an asst waiter In. We had him in 2007 & every night he would say, "In with the bread". We loves the savory bites & it became a joke bc every night he would tell us the selections & we'd always pick the savory bites. 5 years later, our family still says, "In with the bread" on nights we have bread with dinner. Just had to ask if that's what you were referring to!

He was our waiter for a couple nights back in May....we had a big group...maybe 10 people or so....and he always said..." Excelllllennnnttt Choiiiiiice...." not sure if it's the same person....

Hey Radio--your DGS Rody is soooooooo adorable! Our DD has gone out of town this weekend, and left our DGS Landon with us for his first time away from "mommy and daddy" and his first trip to stay overnight with Gramma & Papa (they live 4 hrs away). Our DGS is 27 months old right now. I am so envious of you to be on a cruise with your family! Enjoy all the time with them that you can!

Hi Toni! I just realized you all are doing the Vision of the Seas in January - we're sailing on the Vision on February 15th...too bad we didn't have the same sailing again!

Sorry we'll miss you. If you are up our way give us a call.

Toni

Saying hello instead of just stalking the boards! Love the live report...we'll be on EN in September and I can't wait.

We live on Kent Island (the small island right at the Bay Bridge on your Port side leaving Baltimore) and I follow the Enchantment often and wave from our yard as often as possible...came out last night about 6:30 pm to say hello to her! She comes pretty close to shore and it truly is a beautiful sight! I always wave like a crazy person!

Awesome report...can't wait for more! :D

Oh, Mark, what a BEAUTIFUL little boy, Rody is! I know you're having a great time, with him & the rest of the family! I'm so envious! I'm not surprised about the seas, as the ocean, here, is rough & it's very windy! Have a great time in Bermuda!

Lucky you! We are north of you in Galena. Can't quite see her from here but I almost always break my neck looking for her everytime I cross the Bay Bridge.
