catl331 Posted August 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2012 In almost all cases, if the prior cruise debarkation went as planned, you will be able to board around 11:30 to 12:00N.

CruiserBruce Posted August 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2012 Fleet wide, boarding starts around 11:30. Unless there is a rare delay. Commonly discussed here.
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 25, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2012 Welcome to Cruise Critic. Be at the pier between 10:30 and 11 to check in as soon as the doors are open. That way you will get a low boarding number to be among the first on the ship after the PS and handicapped people.

Krazy Kruizers Posted August 25, 2012 #7 Share Posted August 25, 2012 Right - the list gets longer and longer. PS Handicapped Deluxe Suites 4 Star Mariners And at the rate some people are getting to the 4 star status -- there may come a time when there will only be a handful of people waiting to board. On one of our cruises, the line up of wheel chairs and scooters was unbelievable.

That's a huge exaggeration. On every non-Prinsendam sailing there are about 35% first-timers, and of the 65% Mariners, most will always be 3-star or less. On our recent Ryndam T/A, there were only 20 non-Mariners (just over 1%).
RuthC Posted August 25, 2012 #10 Share Posted August 25, 2012 After the PS, the suites and the 4 stars persons...who all have priority boarding. Four * Mainers have priority check-in, which is not the same as priority boarding.
jtl513 Posted August 25, 2012 #11 Share Posted August 25, 2012 On our recent Ryndam T/A, there were only 20 non-Mariners (just over 1%). All right, I'll correct my previous post and say MOST cruises that I'VE been on had about 35% non-Mariners. Most cruises are not T-As. More importantly, on your cruise, how many were 4* and not in a Deluxe Suite?

I don't know the exact breakdown, but I do know that at the awards ceremony there were over 50 people getting medallions (the most I've ever seen). I would expect it was over 1/3 4* Mariners.
