1st time cruisng

I have finally taken the plunge and will be going on my first cruise in October (Celebrity's Equinox, on 10/26 from Rome).

 

I've been to Europe numerous times and always wanted to visit the islands of the Mediterranean. I figured the best way to accomplish this was to take a cruise.

 

I am traveling solo, which is a first for me.

 

The information on this site has been invaluable and made the decision to cruise easy.

 

So as a virgin cruiser, and a solo at that, I can not tell you how much the advice you "veteran's" have imparted has helped and I'm sure will certainly make my first cruise a pleasurable and stress free vacation.

Hmm...my biggest piece of advice for a solo cruiser is "don't be shy". It can get a little lonely watching all the couples and families have fun together. As others have said - post in the roll call section for your cruise and ask if there are other solo travelers. Perhaps you can make a "friend" before you even get there.
