RASHOPPER2 Posted September 5, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 5, 2012 Overlord Tours, if you can book them. When is your cruise? When you contact Overlord, ask for Oliver - he is the best.
GeeDunk Posted September 5, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 5, 2012 Overlord Tours OverLord Tours does a fantastic job. Make a Reservation as soon as you can. KirkNC Posted September 6, 2012 #7 Share Posted September 6, 2012 When you contact Overlord, ask for Oliver - he is the best. That's who we had, great job. Better hurry as they book up quick.
Rare Turtles06 Posted September 6, 2012 #8 Share Posted September 6, 2012 Another vote for Overlord. And yes, book well in advance, as they are very small. Also pricey, on the order of 800 euros for the day, whether you have 1 or 8 people. Many folks put a group of 8 together from their Roll Call... (As noted above, June 5 is not D-Day. But that doesn't mean you won't have a great tour! :))
Chloe1500 Posted September 6, 2012 #9 Share Posted September 6, 2012 D-day is always on June 6th. The cruise leaves Southampton on June 5 and the ship docks in Le Havre on June 6. I looked at that cruise myself, but decided on an earlier one.
Cotswold Eagle Posted September 6, 2012 #10 Share Posted September 6, 2012 D-day is always on June 6th. It was supposed to be the 5th :) But the OP was answering the question "When is your cruise?"....
ncgolferette Posted September 6, 2012 #11 Share Posted September 6, 2012 If Overlord is already booked you might want to try Normandy Sightseeing Tours. I believe that these companies get booked at least a year in advance of D day. I booked NST 14 months out for a may 29, 2013 visit.

catsforkids Posted September 13, 2012 #15 Share Posted September 13, 2012 Okay, Overlord is pricey but they do offer exactly what we want so we'll pay the $$$. Renting a car (like I had originally planned) is definitely out of the question on D-day! We want to make the rest of the cruise :D:)
CruiserBruce Posted September 13, 2012 #16 Share Posted September 13, 2012 When we used Overlord this last May they were slightly cheaper than some of the other companies.

CruiserBruce Posted September 14, 2012 #18 Share Posted September 14, 2012 No, we paid 85 euros per person, when the other venders were charging 90 euros per person.
