Getting married on the way to a Cruise

If you get married on the way to a Cruise, is there a problem with the documents? It's been so long since I've been married, I don't remember what they give you.

 

My husband and I are buying my Daughter and Fiancee a Cruise for their Honeymoon. They are getting married in Florida on the way down to the cruise - eloping MOL. Then 3 days later, the Cruise leaves. Is this a problem?

They just have to make sure her name on the cruise reservation and her name on her id are the same. This usually mean that it is easiest if she uses her maiden name for the trip

When they book the cruise just go with their current names (not the married last name) so everything should match up perfectly.

Also check the age requirements for the cruise line you are choosing ...if they are both under a specific age they may not be allowed on the cruise without showing proof of marriage so have them take that proof with them

lots of women keep their maiden names so just make sure all documentation matches the cruise docs

What they said.... it's easiest if she updates DL and passport to her new married name after she returns from the cruise. Sounds like it would be a major rush to get it all done before anyway...

Yes, you would book the trip in the maiden name (or whatever she uses on her ID - Passport). She will change her name when she returns.

ok thank you! we just got the prices for the trip! they are going on the royal caribbean in January. don't know anything about it but that's the cruise they picked.
