Celebrity Solstice arrival

So many passengers on the ship didn't do their homework and thought that they were on the B2B to NZ and didn't realize that the 1 dayer was inbetween:confused:. Soooooo. The cruise line has put some up in hotels and I think they may have done them a big favor as they wouldn't like the boozy scene.

About two days to go now. Cant wait to finally see it. I will try to impress with my photos this weekend and have spared no expense to make it memorable. Kind of rolling out che cheque book if you know that expression. I am spending the night in Sydney now to watch it leave and arrive on the 10th. Weather permitting on the 10th I am going to try a new vantage spot I hope to get to.

In the meantime I have been playing with my camera yesterday (Thursday). Drove all the way to Nelson Bay and climbed a large hill on Tomaree Head to capture this stunning photo:

Camera in fine working order so all things are ready for my next project.

Hi David, you had a bit of a shake today over there 6.3 ?

Yes I reckon by the early hours tomorrow, Solstice will be doing 5 knots. Smooth brekkie too.

Well the Solstice has arrived in Sydney!

We woke this morning at 5.00am to discover we were just passing Kirribilli House. There was a tug with the water jets and a helicopter circling overhead.

Lots of flashes from the shore as people took pictures.

To our great delight the ship backed into her berth so those on the starboard side had a great view of the Opera House.

I'm not sure how to post photos so will try to work it out.

We are staying on for the one night cruise. Apparently 800 travel agents are sailing with us. Here's to a good day.
