I wish I'd taken screen shots to compare, but I think a few minutes ago there were more lights up on the bridge. I think they are starting to acclimate the officers to the darkness.

Does the Westerdam have forward verandah cabins? I guess those lights can't be turned off but I still expect the string of lights coming down the bow to be darkened a few minutes before the ship sails. We'll see.

I have a feeling that HAL or the Port coud expadite the ER if needed. Maybe is was for something minor.

IF the ship needed the lights in those cabins turned off in order to safely exit the harbor, those lights would be turned off.

 

As I was typing that, my computer looked up, and now the lights are off and we are under way. Some on their way to a cruise, the rest of us to bed.
