gigianne Posted March 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Good morning all - I will be present for today's sail away! The Caribbean season is waning - the Westerdam will be leaving for ports west on the 17th of March!
allwayscruising Posted March 3, 2013 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Thank you for sharing this sight. I ran out and bought a HDMI cable so we could sit in front of the big screen to watch the parade. We made Pussers Painkillers and popcorn for the show:D. Almost like being there. We are looking for a little help, we are booked on the 12/01/13 Eurodam sailing. We booked a SC Neptune Suite aft cabin (6175). We normally book aft cabins so we know we like the location. We are looking for more pics and info for those aft cabins. We also would like to know more about the ammenities that come with it. We are now at point were we would like more quality than quanity in our cruises. Again thanks and will be watching today. Have you checked the SC 6175 photos that I have on my site? If not, here is the link to Deck 6 stateroom Photos on Eurodam, just scroll down about 2/3 of the page and click on each photo to see it full sized: http://abqreunion2008.com/Eurodam/Deck-6.html You can also look at extremely similar photos of Nieuw Amsterdam's SC 6174 (Same but on Starboard side instead) http://abqreunion2008.com/Nieuw_Amsterdam/Deck-6.html Joanie

Joanie gave you the link to her site which has pics. As to the amenities - HAl has a full listing - but do take advantage of the Pinnacle Grill for breakfast, the Neptune Lounge for the great coffees, teas, munchies, etc. and the concierge in the NL for any help, reservations, whatever. Don't forget your free laundry including Dry Cleaning. Priority embarkation is ok - what's nice is disembarkation as you can basically get off when you want. Tea and hors' d'hoeuvres if they are of interest to you, can be fun. Hope this helps a bit:D
aliaschief Posted March 3, 2013 Author #12 Share Posted March 3, 2013 The departure times are always suspicious especially when the majority state they are all scheduled to sail at approximately 16:00 Eastern!! Carnival Freedom-16:00 Ruby Princess-16:00 MS westerdam-16:00 MS Nieuw Amsterdam-16:00 Celebrity Silhouette-16:30 Allure Of The Seas- 17:00 http://portevergladeswebcam.com/
jmacjmac Posted March 3, 2013 #13 Share Posted March 3, 2013 In transit today on the WESTERDAM. Will be waving. Missed last week, just wanted to take a nap and relax after traveling all day then standing in line for hours after slow disembark (what was that all about?). Where is the best place to stand on the open decks for this?
Rare Vict0riann Posted March 3, 2013 #14 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Hope to be there, but we're planning to work in the garden, big cleanup needed! I would imagine we'll have given up by lunch time, though. At the beginning of gardening season, we find we have to pace ourselves..... Enjoy the toots, anyway. Missed last week, just wanted to take a nap and relax after traveling all day then standing in line for hours after slow disembark (what was that all about?). Where is the best place to stand on the open decks for this? First of all if cruisers have not requested a "Wave" from the PortEverglades Web Cam the chances of being zoomed in on and being seen are dimished. A make shift sign also increases a zoom shot. Best place. Camera is located Port Side. If you have a verandha port side that works. On the center of the Promendade Deck is good or the aft Sea View Pool on the Port Rail. I'm not sure if it's too late to request a wave but worth a shot. Have a great cruise. Bon Voyage!:)
