SMSACE6 Posted March 17, 2013 #202 Share Posted March 17, 2013 boy those Canadian flags show up well, eh;) Yes they do, and Im happy to see so many of my fellow countrymen getting away at this time of year. Winter has not been kind to us this year.
Rare Copper10-8 Posted March 17, 2013 #203 Share Posted March 17, 2013 Thanks! I wonder if they serve any purpose, or if they are just decorative. Im envisioning jet streams from them, as they put on the speed when needed. ( just joking ):D Mainly decorative

KNOT2L82SAIL Posted March 17, 2013 #205 Share Posted March 17, 2013 It looked like the ropes were still attached from the Westerdam. I bet it is going to be an awesome tooting session as she leaves. Isn't this her last sail away of this season?
rkacruiser Posted March 17, 2013 #206 Share Posted March 17, 2013 I think back to earlier in the season this year when there were few, if any of the ships, that left port on time. More recently, they almost all are close to departing at their published time. When I was on Celebrity Eclipse last month, I asked the Food and Beverage Manager about why Eclipse was chronically sailing late and he blamed it on the Corporate office. They had not accounted for the time needed to load supplies for a 14 day sailing before the schedule was published. Yet, last week-end, Eclipse sailed almost on time. I wonder, has the port workers become more efficient?

KNOT2L82SAIL Posted March 17, 2013 #208 Share Posted March 17, 2013 The Allure makes me tired just looking at her. I cannot imagine walking around on her like I do on the wonderful HAL ships. Please....never get that big...or that ugly.

The only time you feel crowded on any HAL ship is during the safety drill! I need to get a cruise booked. Of course, on HAL. :)

They loved it and felt like it was less crowded then other RCL ships they routinely sail on.
