Complimentary mini-bar

We just returned from a Sapphire Princess cruise and we had the complimentary mini-bar set up. We noticed there was no bourbon -- scotch seemed to have taken the place of the bourbon. We asked if we could exchange the scotch for bourbon but the room attendant said bourbon was no longer available. We also double checked with Room Service and was advised the selection in the mini-bar was all that was available. No bourbon. Is this a ship-wide change or just Sapphire or just this cruise? They advised that it is a fleet-wide change for the Elite Mini-bar set up and no substitutions will be made.

I believe you mean that you can not substitute the Dewar's Scotch for something that is not already in the set up. I have always been able to trade Gin for more Scotch, Coke for Diet Coke, etc.

Wondering how princess deals with cruisers who booked 7day b2b vs booked 14day passengers on the same voyage. According to the net you get a free setup once per cruise so if you book 14day you only get it once?

Same for internet and other things. Book 7 days b2b and get 150minutes twice(300 total), if you book 14 day you only get 250? Seems odd but not impossible. :)

does everyone get a free mini-bar or just "elites"? I am in a Caribe Balcony 11 day Baltic

Onlly passengers in full suites or who are Elite in the Captain's Circle program get the free minibar

The entire mini bar package, including the water, can be traded in for one 750 ml. bottle of wine.

Someone recently posted Princess FAQ info about the mini-bar showing another option to exchange the mini-bar setup for 2 coffee cards.

Just to be sure I am understanding correctly. We booked a 14 day Southern/Eastern cruise on the Crown. It will return to FLL .My husband is Elite with Princess,I am fairly new and also new to CC. Does this mean we would be able to get 2 free bar set ups ,and 2 -150 min. internet packages. Also, will we have to disembark in FLL. and reboard? Thanks for the info,I am so much enjoying learning form these boards.DH has never been a detail person so is not the best source of info. But lots of fun:)

Welcome to Cruise Critic.

You husband will receive one mini bar setup and one internet credit for each leg. Whether he shares them with you is not for me to say. :)

If he shares his internet minutes, you would have to use his account to get to the internet.

We sailed the Crown at the end of last year on a b2b Med/TA cruise to FLL & your cabin should get 2 mini-bars & 2 Internet packages (our unused minutes rolled over to the 2nd cruise when activating the 2nd cruise's Internet package).

We arrived from Europe in FLL & everyone had to disembark the ship and go through immigration. Unfortunately reboarding the ship was delayed by several passengers who decided to not disembark & until they did we couldn't get back on the ship. We walked to the shopping center with Total Wine & Publix on 17th but still had to wait until about noon to reboard to process those who had to be located & escorted through immigration. :(

The one time we asked for the wine we were told they were out. :(

Yes, you get the second mini bar setup even if you have booked it as one cruise

I sure didn't get a second mini bar setup with a combo repo plus Baltic single booking. I did get a second free Internet package on the combo at the combo transition point and a new cruise card. From now on I only book B2Bs because with extra OBCs it more than offsets the extra B2B ticket costs. FWIW: I swap out my entire mini-bar setup for lots of water.

Here is the direct link to the Elite Mini-Bar FAQ mentioning the Coffee Cards.

You do need to be logged in to your Princess account to get there.

Print and pack it in case you get told "no"
