browneyedwoman Posted May 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2013 We were on the Liberty for the 4/20/13 sailing and had a great time. On my past two sailings Carnival placed a copy of the final bill in our mailbox outside of our room. This time we didn't get one. I forgot to print one out at the kiosks. Is there any way to get a copy of the detailed bill after the fact? I had been checking the statement on our TV over the week, so I'm sure it's close enough to accurate. I like to have the copy as a type of souvenir.
firefly333 Posted May 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2013 I always question them putting them out in the open like that where anyone walking along can grab one from another cabin. Maybe kids got yours just for fun. I dont know who you could write to, but you could try guest solutions.
Chigirlcruzin Posted May 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2013 I never got one on my Celebrity cruise. A quick call to customer service resulted in getting it emailed to me. I'd hope Carnival would be able to do the same!

Part of the fun on the last day is walking down the hall and seing what others spent I'm sure alot of people have a stroke once that final bill hits after a week of just swiping away.. Those same few prolly make a beline to guest services to remove the service charge...

Marinegal Posted May 6, 2013 #9 Share Posted May 6, 2013 I was also on the 4/20 Liberty. I didn't get a bill under my door or in my mailbox like I had on my past 19 cruises. I went to guest services and asked about it and was told that they are doing away with printing out bills. The lady at guest services told me that since you can see the bill on the tv and they have kiosk machines located on the ship, they will no longer be printing them out and I'm welcome to print one out at the kiosk myself. I know tbe cruise is almost over but there's alot more to do on the last night other than looking at what other people spent.

I don't look to see what the totals are on any of them, but I can't help but smile when I see some rather thick final bill statements. :D
browneyedwoman Posted May 9, 2013 Author #14 Share Posted May 9, 2013 Thank you Carnival! They e-mailed the statement to us. I like to keep them as souvenirs.
Tampa cruiser1963 Posted May 9, 2013 #15 Share Posted May 9, 2013 My final statement has always been placed on the desk INSIDE my stateroom (4 cruises, all Fantasy class). Is that different?

Just because the person's cruise statement is not in an envelope does not give you the right to look at it.

Let's just say there was sticker shock:eek::eek::eek: My poor liver....... lol I really could care less either way....we knew what the final bill was, as we checked it out on the TV, throughout the week......:D
Gamecock_Cruiser Posted May 9, 2013 #19 Share Posted May 9, 2013 Mailbox!? I have only cruise on the Fantasy class so far. I our bill was always slid under the door. If they are not printing them anymore, then what about your check or if you owe them money? The Fantasy or Fascination doesn't let you check your statement on the TV. I do know that Carnival has stopped providing copies at your cabin on debarkation day. The Fun Times states to go to the kiosk to view or print one if you want one. Isa65 Posted May 11, 2013 #24 Share Posted May 11, 2013 There is a danger in putting those statements in the mailbox. Last summer I found ours, grabbed it - only to suffer a mild heart attack... $23.000 plus. Most spent in the casino. My husband almost fainted. When we looked closer, it happened to belong to the cabin next door. A quick trip to Guest Services gave us our modest bill of $624... Pfffeeew! askimdog Posted May 11, 2013 #25 Share Posted May 11, 2013 23.000 plus!!!!! I do find it weird they leave it in the mailbox for others to peruse and often they fall out, I have seen several drifting down hall ways. Just odd? The 3 of us in our cabin usually only rack up 10-30 bucks total not counting gratuities, but still...those who spend more don't need other folks knowing.
