As I was walking into our friends' house, I noticed this leaf on their walkway.

And yes, I checked the bush it came from and they were not all numbered.

On a late Spring theme, down here in Florida, that means bird nesting time, a time of chicks and babies. Here are a few from Saturday of the various nesting or recently hatched birds in the wetlands:

 

A least bittern chick:

A black-necked stilt chick:

A green heron chick:

A momma red-winged blackbird sitting snugly in her nest:

And a yellow-crowned night heron poppa building a nest for his mate:
