How does one handle tips when using the beverage package?

Don't know who you are sailing with, but on Carnival they are all ready added into the cost of the package...

I believe most lines add the gratuity into the package.

 

If this was me I would post this on the cruise line board that you are sailing.

Every line we have sailed on automatically adds tips to the beverage package.

We have purchased the beverage package through both Carnival & RC and the tips were added in with the price. We did not feel the need to tip extra.

On Princess, they add 15% to the cost of any drink or drink package.

Cunard automatically adds 15%, as well.

Whether you use Beverage Cards, buy drinks separately, or buy a drink package -- on HAL the 15% gratuity is automatically added.

If there is a particular server you get to know and he/she takes care of you the majority of the cruise, and if you feel like giving them an extra tip at the end of the cruise, you can do so. We just slip the extra tips to them.
