Things that can spoil your cruise vacation.

Last cruise I went to a comedy show and one of the jokes wasn't all that funny. And to top it off, a juggler in the show dropped one of the balls he was trying to juggle. How bad is that ?

I am appalled that there is no tuck -in service. If THEY can turn down, why not tuck-in. HUMPF,.I guess that the steward won't sing 'Soft Kitty" either.

Also, why are there only veritically moving elevators and not horizonally moving transport? What kind of modern luxury can it be if I have to walk from the dining room to the theatre every night?

In a serious lack of appropriate service I was told by Celebrity booking agent that I needed to add my own hump to our cabin!

Almost choked on my candy......that there is funny

Speaking of elevators, you wouldn't need them at all if they finally learned how to build these ships properly. Why so many decks ? Why not just one big one ? Sort of like a ranch style house,or a Costco.

And no more stupid questions like what deck is the casino on ? What deck is the MDR ? etc

They'd all be on the same one deck.

I also suggest that they make the ships round so you wouldn't have to worry about all that port and starboard stuff.

I'm envisioning a gigantic roomba vacuum lookin' ship on the high seas.

Roomba of the Seas? lol (i know RCL)

V class ship? (vacuum class)

I'm about as funny as that comedian with the bad joke, I know.

Does it bother anyone else that when you order your morning coffee for 7 AM as your wake up service & Caffeine boost they come too early at 6:59 AM and wake you up.

Totally unacceptable. You would think with all the fancy watch shops on board, they would know how to keep track of time!!

I don't know about any or you but I am usually exhausted after taking a shower. ALL the things you have to do (fix the water temperature, shampoo, conditioner, wash yourself...)

AND no one gives you a towel when you're finished! Hardest part of MY day!

I learned on my last cruise during the muster drill that not only was there no priority seating on life boats for Elite CC, but that my premium drink package would be of no use to me since there was no bar on the life boat.

Might as well be on the Titanic,at least they had ice.

Crystal serves champagne at their muster drills (that way, EVERYBODY attends, rather than hiding out somewhere hoping not to get caught). Upgrade your experience, dude! :D

Anyone else found themselves having to put their own food on the fork, lift it to their mouth and insert without assistance from the waitstaff? All this hype of luxury cruising, excellent service, etc, is a bunch of BS....

**break from humor for one second please** Last time we hid from muster, there was a note in our room. ** we now return you to you regularly scheduled humor or humour if you are from the wrong side.

Besides, why can't my steward just go to muster for me?

My cabin kept swaying side to side, and I can tell you that Marriott never does that! The hotel director gave me some excuse about the ocean currents and weather... Ugh, whatever dude.

Love this!

I hear ya! I now have to brush my own teeth and wipe my own behind. What next? Cutting our own food in the MDR? Civilization is on a rapidly downward spiral, and this pepper mill debacle is proof positive! Rise up all ye passengers and demand our pepper shakers to shake!!

I think you are a serious RIOT! Is your avatar a true depiction or is that just your alter-ego?? Inquiring minds NEED to know!:p

omg. I understand that this is a " critics" forum, but really.. complaining about grinding your own pepper? or chocolates not on your pillow.. come on..

if you were paying for the suite with the full butler service... then maybe.. just maybe it would be justified.. get real..

really would you seriously let these things ruin your holiday...

get over it..

We paid for a full butler, he didn't even answer the door bell for us! Next time we are going to take Jeeves with us!

Sheesh....... Modern Luxury indeed?

I keep my sarongs, shorts and t shirts in the top cupboard over the bed. Every night before bed, I have to climb up there, after a night at the Martini Bar, to get my OWN matching shorts and t shirt ready for a port day, pack my OWN port bag and finally, after all that stress, try to get a night's sleep before a busy day ashore!

To add insult to injury (injury falling backwards off the bed) I then have to get up far too early to explore the ports. Wouldn't you think by now they could bring a taste of each port in miniature onboard to save all the hassle? A bit like Epcot Centre? Plenty of room on the lawn!
