Cruise port to Casino in Monte Carlo

Can anyone tell me an easy way to travel from the cruise port to the casino in Monte Carlo? Never been there and just want to see it and maybe give them some money.

Its about 3/4 of a mile to walk. Maybe a mile tops..

Be sure to go INTO the port building and ask at the information desk where the elevator to go up is. We didn't do that. We walked following folks for a couple of hours and never did make it up to the Casino level. We were bushed, went back to the ship for lunch and a nap. I kept looking for the taxi queue, with no luck either. Finally just took pictures from the ship and that was our disappointing visit to Monte Carlo.

 

So have a Plan "A", but also a Plan "B" for when Plan "A" falls apart.

Tha casino is not really up a level, it is slightly uphill but very easy to walk to. A simple map will suffice.

Also, be prepared to pay for entry into the casino. Many people are caught by surprise that they have to pay. There is a small area with slot machines near the entrance where entry is free.

When we were ther in 2008, they had the "boat bus" near the port to take people to the other side of the harbor. Then you take the elevator up to the casino. Much faster and easier than walking. Here

The hard part is finding the boat.

We took a local bus, very easy, may not be far up all up hill.

It is about a 20 to 25 minute walk. We do it all the time.

 

If it was too much just take a taxi.
