Boarding time question

Greetings all. I have been trying to remember what time boarding starts (or usually starts) at Port Everglades for a 4 p.m. sailing for someone driving in? I'm thinking boarding doesn't begin until about 2 p.m. for a 4 p.m. sail. Am I close?

Although I can't find it at the moment, I recall a posting to the effect that HAL even discourages passengers from arriving too early because they won't even be let inside the terminal.

In my case, the question pertains to the Eurodam's departure on Nov. 10.

We like to get to the terminal about 11 -- go through security and then check-in.

Most of the time boarding will begin around 11:30. Those in the PS cabins go first followed by the wheelchair and scooter people.

Most of the time the cabins are ready at 11:30. That way you can drop off your carry-ons, etc., and go to lunch.

Mariners can eat in the dining room -- open from Noon until 1:30. Or if you want, you can eat in the Lido or the Terrace Grill.

Many thanks for the quick responses, everyone! It's appreciated.

My guess as to where that 2 p.m. guess came from was a couple recent cruises on CCL which we've done for the benefit of our kids. It's been awhile since our last HAL cruise and definitely time to get back ;)

Most likely the boarding pass you will be able to print next weekend (50 days out) will say 1:00 pm, but unless there's a problem it won't be true.
