The CDC suggests you are current on things like flu shots, tetanus, etc. but I have never heard of any required immunizations for cruising to the Bahamas. cb at sea Posted October 2, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 2, 2013 NO immunizations are required of cruise passengers for ANY Caribbean locations. Or, the Bahamas, since the Bahamas aren't even in the Caribbean.....it's in the Atlantic! Unless YOU have health issues, you don't need a thing. Rare Keith1010 Posted October 2, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2013 As mentioned no immunizations are required. In general, just be sure your immunizations are up to date. Traveling aside, also be sure that you get a flu shot if you fall in the recommended age group and you do not have any health issue which would preclude getting one. Krazy Kruizers Posted October 2, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 2, 2013 We always get the flu shots -- a couple of weeks ago we got the new "4" flu shot. We also keep up with tetanus shots. And since we are older, our doctor recommended that we get our pneumonia shot a few years ago. Those are the only basic shots you should consider for a Caribbean cruise. Is proof of immunization req for cruise to Bahamas? No proof of immunization has ever been required for any US based cruise we've been on in 21 years - and have been on itineraries that include the Bahamas a number of times.
