How does the Majesty refuel at Cococay?

Hi, we recently were on the Majesty of the Seas and while it dropped Anchor at Cococay the ship refuelled, but we didn't see any sign of another ship. We could have been blind, lol.

Does it refuel via a pipeline there? Or a fuel ship?

Unless there was a large barge tied up to the ship, she was not being refueled.

Is it possible they were refueling one of the tenders from the ship?

(During any refueling operations you should see "No smoking" signs posted near the refueling site, as well as a red flag (code for "B") flying from the mast.

Aloha,

John

I did the behind the scenes tour on Oasis and think I caught that they only refuel every other week at Philipsburg (Sint Maarten).

I have no idea, but would wonder if they would refuel Majesty in Nassau.

That is correct. Oasis and Allure refuel in St. Maarten as the cost of fuel is much cheaper there. From each Majesty sailing I have done, the ship is refuelled in Miami.

Refuelling of a tender is a possibility. I have never seen that done at Coco Cay myself but it is a possibility.

Good point. How else would the tenders be fueled? That's probably what it was.

Majesty has been the Coco Cay supply ship bringing food and supplies for the folks that stay on the island so it makes perfect sense that the Tenders get refueled by her as well.
